I don’t have twitter anymore. It’s still active but I couldn’t log in a while back so I just said to hell with it. Twitter is a cesspool and it’s a better to not have it in life. Lol

Perhaps but it's also the most recognized social media I have but I do block any politician that shows up on my timeline so I'm clearing out any politics from my Twitter one block at a time LMAO

And if you accuse someone of recruiting, I’m assuming you would post the proof of it. Why would you call it out and not at least benefit from the info? Why would you just do it to piss someone off? Wouldn’t the Suwannee coach who has the goods feel compelled to give this info to the FHSAA especially if he is being hit by it?

recruiting can have real world consequences. What if you lose kids to someone recruiting and you have a bad year and get fired? That’s your livelihood. I don’t think a coach would call it out without evidence

I see a lot of coaches out there all the time who will indirectly call a team out with or without proof so I'm not sure that's true

If they had evidence I would rather a school actually take it to the FHSAA instead of blowing it off

Just like a Riverside fan 2 years ago accused us of trying to intentionally injure their kids and the proof said person gave when I asked them to provide evidence was "I know what I know and I don't have to prove it"

The benefit is so they can downplay when Columbia blows them out and make it look like we only beat them by cheating even though Columbia in the entire FHSAA playoff era has never been busted for playing ineligible players

Wait, so are you implying that they've done it, but that they've just never been caught?    :P

I'm saying that the only way to actually confirm someone is cheating is if they are caught

I can't speak to what happens behind closed doors or what happened prior to me being involved but I will say in the time I've followed the program up close they have never cheated to get a player but I can't speak to what may have happened under previous coaches

What I can tell you is Columbia in the FHSAA playoff era has never had to forfeit games for using an ineligible player, Suwannee can't say the same

Only 14-10 and that’s with you guys taking their best player!

You can’t be mad about them getting press time after their newspaper shut down haha all of the kids need recognition

So when Columbia wins a close kickoff classic the sky is falling but when they beat a ranked opponent in the kickoff classic it's downplayed?

Columbia only played a half with starters and yes they were sluggish and experimenting some different plays but I have no doubts that game is played differently if they go 4 quarters

Let's see how they do with Buchholz before we start pushing a panic button

I'm starting to think that people change the narrative to justify their desire to drag a program like Columbia down because they are the program who isn't supposed to be good after all that's why every year it's "well you all gonna suck" "you don't have it anymore" "Lake City will always be failures"

At the end of the day I will point to 2015 when Columbia got smashed in their KOC then went to the final 4, Columbia the next year beat the same team who blasted them but they went 7-4 and had a second round exit. Columbia is erratic at times in the preseason but I'm not worried in the slightest, they will figure it out because this is a good coaching staff and this is a consistent good program that wins year in and year out no matter who graduates or who transfers in or out

Let's talk about another so called bad ass in Jacksonville who got beat 40-0 tonight

@nolebull813Riverside lost 40-0 to Bartram tonight, still think I ranked them wrong now? LMAO

That was the first game that the QB had with this group, he got better as the game progressed and Suwannee only TD came on a fumble recovery on Columbia first drive

Defense held it's own throughout the game only giving up 3 points and Columbia is still down a 3* WR

They will get better when he gets back but at least the defense is in a good spot currently

Oh another one of your transfers?

I’m just giving you a hard time after all the trash you talked about Suwannee and how bad you’d beat them, etc. I saw some of the highlights and I know neither team played especially well.

Also Riverside lost everyone. They had 11 guys transfer out in two days and that’s less than half of what they lost.

I talk trash about them because they are the ones who bailed on this rivalry then wanted to talk about how they could have beat us 2 years ago

If a team is afraid to play you lose any right to pretend to be a better team because great teams don't run from competition

People are judging this game off a half of varsity action, neither team played great but I'm certainly not gonna push a panic button off a preseason game

And for the record yes I did get very excited by that KOC half game with IMG a few years ago but that was because I honestly thought they would blow us out so I was impressed we managed to compete with them even for a half but in reality I don't read much into preseason games that only have starters for half a game as Columbia normally starts slow then picks up steam as the game goes along

As a person who told you the IMG game didn't matter, I am going to tell you this game doesn't matter either.

We have to stop putting stock in preseason games. Coaches and teams go into these games with varying levels of goals.

For some teams, it is getting everyone lined up correctly.

For some teams, it is being as vanilla as possible so as for your first real game has no real film to study.

For some teams, it is about 9 months of off-season work and only tinkering with the system.

Whatever the case, move on quickly. The real games start now.

Well at least your consistent

As soon as I knew starters would only play a half I only had a mild interest in this game, it was closer than I expected but I think a full game would have been far more lopsided in Columbia favor

Regardless the only team that matters right now is Buchholz

Buchholz has only one win over Columbia since 2008 so which recent history favors Buchholz especially when last game they played at citizens was 39-0 Columbia

You should come and check this matchup out, it will be a Thursday game at citizens on week 1

I did, I was right.

    • Just wait till spring is over and the top RB in the area will take his talent to 1 Indian Ave.
    • This will be an interesting story to follow.  Venice has no proven RB headed in to spring which will be a first for a long time.  They have produced several Dairy Farmers player of the years in that position.  They also will have a massive offensive line with 2 three year starters who return as well as some stud young kids.  They will probably average around 6'4 295 on the line which is huge for Venice standards.  I just wonder if this will change before the start of the season.  I still fell like someone will show up.
    • Are you still talking to me??  Thought I was pretty clear for you not to waste your breath on this subject matter, but somehow you are missing the point.  Teacher unions have limited power in FL because the candidates they overwhelming support keep losing.  If they had won, the teacher union vote had a lot to do with it and would be wielding that power.  Osceola county which isn't a GOP stronghold during the past two national elections had the journalism students for the OHS monthly newsletter (Kowboy Jake) interview the faculty as to their political leanings.  A sample of about 30 teachers that were interviewed were voting as follows:  25 D vs 5 R.  Enough said.
    • You missed the point of my union post. Teacher unions in strong union states have power. Florida unions have zero. They cant strike and the school board can implement a contract without the unions approval. Florida unions are not preventing any raise in Florida. The state has attacked a straw man here.
