Yeah but every square inch of the state is eligible. Teams from every square inch of the state can meet the criteria if they have the enrollment numbers. It’s not impossible.

Actually I would have said enrollment numbers is separating and protecting smaller schools away from teams who would beat them in the playoffs

What schools screwed over Columbia? And when you say “cheated programs” how specifically did they cheat, and if so, did they get caught? And if not, what proof do you have that they cheated? And if they did get caught, who was it and what was the punishment?

So after ten pages of posts what have we learned. Broward and dade have best teams in the state most of the time and it’s because of recruiting. True

The fhsaa let’s Polk county run away from metro schools with bs density change. True

the fhsaa ignores recruiting and even when they busy a team nothing real happens. True

The real fixes to make competitive divisions like throw privates in own division is illegal in Florida and mo one agrees on any other fox like promotion. True

columbia posts more than anyone else’s true. 
naples will go further than Columbia in 3s. We will see

The only teams that beat Naples are dade super teams in Miami central and northwestern and the state took them away so unless Venice moves to 3s.  Naples will either be state champ or finalist probably. It’s tough playing option teams with real skill players.

Columbia is bent at me for saying suburban is a lower division and that Columbia is not favorite to win 3s. My whole point from beginning is that the new plan will not  create parity at all because really awesome teams like Naples Columbia. Venice mainland. Lakeland and Osceola who already make semi finals and finals will roll on suburban and the same teams there will win every year and crush rest of division. So solution does not solve problem but screwed many non cheater metro schools by squeezing 8 divisions into four.

No I'm insulted that you wrote 3S off as a easy path for Naples or Mainland yet the last time Mainland played Columbia, Columbia entered the playoffs 1-5 and knocked Mainland out in the regional semifinals

 

To say Columbia has no shot of winning 3S is laughable, if you compare the teams on paper right now Columbia has as much chance to win 3S as Naples, Rockledge Pine Forest, Mainland or Vanguard

 

It's also insulting to imply these teams are terrible or bush league teams when these were all very good teams even in the previous system but just never had the ability to keep up with metro recruiters who could pull in 15-20 FBS transfers in an off-season and no it's not just a few private schools as there are publics who are worse than any private in the state when it comes to transfers

Naples rarely plays anyone outside of SWFL and occasionally some SFL teams on the east coast 

 

Also didn't they lose 38-0 to Palmetto Ridge 2 years ago? I wouldn't call that a Dade powerhouse

 

I think Naples wins their region and makes final 4 but to say a team like Columbia this year isn't capable of beating them just makes me think you either hold Naples way too high or you just don't know enough about what Columbia has coming into the season 

 

But I hope Naples plays Columbia in the finals up here in Tallahassee because if Naples is the team that's supposed to cruise to a state title in 3S then I know when Columbia beats them nobody will be able to downplay it because if Naples was that good then it says Columbia deserves respect

I agree there were a better way to do the split 

 

Sadly the ones that would have done that are ideas that have been tried and couldn't get past the first round of advisory committees
