No, logical!

If you the fhsaa who you gonna please

95% of the state or 5%?

I'll side with the area with the best teams. I go to States to watch quality football...not to make you happy, with your socialistic equality ,and watch blowouts.

I simply want the best teams to meet. Again, we are getting closer. I like the new format but I just feel the week Districts should have to play the best wildcards...

And yes I think central playing another Miami team in 1st round is fair, they got the talent so put them against teams at their level and in a area where it reasonable travel for both teams

Or you just want the Miami teams to knock each other out so the rest of the state can have a better chance to win states .... I'm down for Central to travel somewhere else to play a number 1 seed in that region... Not guaranteed Central would win.. Go play a Armwood or a Vanguard or a Niceville... I guarantee Central would find that money to go travel to go play that 1st round playoff game...

Not every school can

And before you bring Columbia in this even though I'm sure we wouldn't like it we would find a way to make it work but some of the poorer schools can't afford it and would forfeit playing the game due to inability to pay the travel

Then Broward idea looks terrible

I think idea on paper a good one but it logistically would never work

You think all dade schools or broward schools are rich? Them kids don't be out their asking for donations or selling items or etc for the hell of it... I'm pretty sure you guys have a booster club... Stop with the excuses about poorer schools to rent a couple of coach buses to make a 4 to 5 hr trip down south .... cause any school down here have to make a trip up north for a playoff game, guess why it's going to happen...

I just said we would find a way but yes we have a booster club so we could fund it

Some don't

That idea is based on some of the same logic that this new format proposes.  The idea is to reward teams that play real schedules and no more running for the teams playing scrubs!

Also, almost every other major playoff/tournament style applies similar logic.  That is why in the NCAAB tourney, a #1 seed from the best conference gets an easier bracket and a weaker #1 seed gets a few strong  wild card dangerous ACC teams or something.

Logistically, why should 95% of the schools adapt to the 5% like Columbia?  Get with the program!

Broward the 5% is the 5% of the people who would be for a statewide travel in 1st round as most sensable people won't vote for that

Secondary Columbia is not one of the teams im worried about

If we have to we can fund to make the travel because if we say our booster club needs to get this much money in or we would have to forfeit a playoff trip we would find a way to fund it

Some teams that are lacking booster clubs in poorer areas or big cities don't have that luxury

Gotcha....Well I guess in the end the difference is when I team like Columbia becomes a wildcard they have have a mentality like " O damn...we have to travel all those hours to go play that team"  versus here in SFL " We coming for you, no more running!"

We'll get bus fares covered one way or the other .....We love playoff OPPORTUNITIES down here!
