Championship Attendance

Cocoa2010

Says who?

Many of us, were not overly surprised by that score....And what does that have to do with Cocoa "being able to do" what Columbia did?

Columbia and Cocoa are on two different levels. No sense to put them in the same sentence.

Both were able to do what 95% of Bolles opponents could do

Stop their run

I do but what does any of that have to do with Columbia. Columbia does not belong anywhere on that topic or let alone a string with the word 'championship' in it...

I pointing out that cocoa used the same formula to beat Bolles that we used last year

Wouldn't you agree cocoa stopping the run helped them beat them this year in the championship game?

I know what I am looking at. Tiger Stadium is a dive or hole in the wall compared to Texas stadiums ...Even the average ones....

Florida got a heck of a lot less money invested in high school football

And stadiums for that matter but it has little importance on me calling Texas out to come here and play a game on Florida turf

And would you pull for us if a Texas team came here to play us?

Don't change the subject...it is what it is  and to be honest your statement proves me correct.  Texas football is overall is just bigger and have way more authentic PROGRAMS.  You're Columbia Tigers TEAM are run like rec league compared to Texas HS PROGRAMS dude....please get some rest, Columbia.

Let other teams do the talking and calling out etc...By representing Columbia and FL you are simply embarrassing us if a TX poster reads your comedy...

I would pull for you but it doesn't stop my brain from being stupid either....

Just for an example of how much Texas is invested in football (stadiums aside):

Allen HS (TX) has one varsity, two junior varsity and three freshmen squads. And each squad carries a solid amount of players.

Cedar Hill (TX) has one varsity, two junior varsity and two freshmen squads.

Reagan (San Antonio) has one varsity, two junior varsity and two freshmen squads.

I could go on and on and on ...

The only candle(s) FL can hold to Texas HS football is individual talent and a few teams....

Everything else is a different level.  There are public schools in Texas with facilities that make our best private school facilities look like dumps.... but I guess that can't be said about Columbia and Tiger Stadium..

Let's not forget the pay difference.

Columbia you always step in it. You said your stadium is the biggest around. Look who you are comparing yourself too, A bunch of schools like Ft white, Madison, Lafayette, Branford. What do all those have in common? They have about 1/3 to 1/4 the students of Columbia. So what that you have a bigger stadium than those folks. It pathetic that you compare yourself to them. Columbia isn't even on the radar compared to the top schools in Texas. Be proud that you guys make the playoffs and are relevant in your area. As for calling out people state wide or especially nationally get a grip and don't embarrass yourself. Actually win something before you start doing that.

I'm enjoying this maybe more then i should but i would love to have a Texas poster come over here

Maybe then they will step up and make a attempt to prove they can stand against Florida by coming over here and playing a Florida team on Florida turf

    • Complaining about North Florida slappies losing to South Florida powers is like someone graduating high school complaining that companies are only hiring college graduates and not them. And then a company saying ok to make it fair, we will open division and only hire high school graduates.
    • First I want to express my apologies for my absence the last few months. Without going into much detail I have had some personal life struggles I have been dealing with on top of figuring out the direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com in. Things have finally settled out some over the last few weeks although I am not completely out of the woods just yet. Some of the decisions about what direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com have been forming over this time while I went through things. Part of me wondered if it was time to go, but really it is not at all. Thankfully, a loyal supporter near me in Gainesville decided to put their mouth where their money is and did a little investing and today FloridaHSFootball.com launched its first-ever Mobile App. With that said it comes with the sunset of the MVP Membership Subscriptions and thus FloridaHSFootball.com will be 100% free for the first time in a while. This comes as needing to get the clearances with Apple and Google and the current subscription platform we have is not syncing with Apple's system nor with the App itself. Its best we go in this direction to grow fans again and being able to put them facing forward with an app on their phone going forward. Here are the download links for the apps: iOS (Apple): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/floridahsfootball-com/id6477621728 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floridahsfootball.app&hl=en_US&gl=US   For now the forums will not be available directly in the app. At some point I maybe looking at changing the whole forum software that could eventually integrate into the app. It will be a while before this happens so things will go on as they are here.   I also apologize for any of the spam and troll accounts that have managed to find their way around the security protocols in setting up new accounts. It seems every day these things find ways to pass through control systems. I am going to be looking at getting this solved and will keep an eye on things here as we go along.   Please feel free to reach out to me if you all need anything, want to chat or have any suggestions.   -- Josh
    • They can definitely beat Central. My bulls is a toss up but I feel we should have the edge. EJ will be hard to stop though. Glad they not in 2A with us.
