“WEEK 0” South Florida (TOP 15) Rankings.

Man oh man kick off classic weekend just ended and boy did we have some great matchups & also sone shocking blowouts. 
 

obviously with week 1 being next week a lot can change/will change as the season progresses as some teams will rise , some will fall, some will enter the Top 15 Some will exit. 
 

But if I had to give my south Florida top 15 going into next week, it will go as the following. 
 

#1. CHAMINADE MADONNA 

#2. ST THOMAS AQUINAS 

#3. MIAMI CENTRAL 

#4. MIAMI NORTHWESTERN 

#5. HOMESTEAD 

#6. MIAMI NORLAND

#7. AMERICAN HERITAGE 

#8. CARDINAL GIBBONS 

#9. WESTERN 

#10. DiLLARD 

#11.BOOKER T WASHINGTON

#13.MIRAMAR

Honorable Meantion- Columbus , you can never count them out but I hear from a few sources that they lost a lot & would be taking a few steps back this year. But we will see I heard that 1 before.

Chaminade is overrated this year. Teams are not mere sums of the number of "starred" players they have listed in 247Sports. Chaminade lost the entire heart of its offense from the last three years. Just because some kid announces on Twitter that he's transferring and 247 has some stars next to his name doesn't mean all things remain equal.

That could said about any south Florida power annually but this upcoming Friday will show where they are really at compared to last season

I disagree but right now Chaminade is the best team in the state

That's just a starting position based on where they left off last year. This year, they haven't even settled on a starting QB yet. That's fine for the Archbishop Carrolls of the world. Not so much against Bosco.

Might have the top 5 right, but you could flip a coin with the order. Of course it’s gonna work itself out. I don’t think Chaminade belongs at #1 though. Can’t keep Columbus off the rankings. Because they didn’t have hardly any transfers, their team chemistry might win them a couple games they won’t b favored in???? Sure gonna find out what Broward has by Sunday!!!!!

Sad but team chemistry has become an afterthought in todays high school football climate. Team chemistry is most likely what pushed Berkley Prep over Norland last year.

@Jullian morning bro , so I was looking at the south Florida blitz last night, and I found some of their takes extremely interesting. 
 

it was interesting to me how some folks try to down play the “KOC” but yet they praised armwood down for their performance vs norland but in the same breath talk about how norland lost a lot and etc. 

then they went on to speak on how creek got waxed by monarch but praised them to the point where they picked creek to beat northwestern LOL @topnotch305

But yet Dillard wasn’t even mentioned in the honorable mentions & we beat booker T in the KOC where most had us not even being competitive in that game. 
 

no booker t may not be at their 2013 national championship level, but they’re still dam near good but yet Dillard got zero love. But let us would’ve lost or dare I say got blown out ; We would’ve been kept out of the TOP 25 & state rankings all year because the knack against us would’ve been “DILLARD STILL CANT BEAT GOOD TEAMS”, “DILLARD STILL DOSENT HAVE A QUALITY WIN” so it’s like dam make up yall mind lol. 
 

it’s like BTW got punished more for losing to us then Dillard got the respect for beating not only a very good team but a Dade county elite program where we usually struggle mightily.

I don't like preseason games because you don't know if a coach is putting his all in a game that doesn't count and potentially getting his star players injured.

Now as for the punished thing your referring to I can see it. Dade don't see Broward and it's always been like that. Not taking anything away from Dillard a win is a win, but If you were to say St. Thomas or Chaminade being that they're powerhouses it would be more suitable.

That’s the thing dade don’t see broward & vice versa it’s anywhere anytime with either county & it’s always been like that. 
 

but one thing for sure Dillard as a football program has always had that respect from any team up & down the state of Florida. any team in Florida the schedule us know 3 things.

im regards to both teams or coaches giving there all, shiid you watch the game both teams played their starters to the final whistle & ice Harris & a lot of BTW players were HOT after the game. 
 

I know a lot of mfs from dade when they lose they love to cope and say “OH IT WAS THE REFS” or “THEY DIDNT CARE BOUT THAT GAME” & etc. 

truth of the matter is this was a DADE VS BROWARD matchup & whenever that’s in play BRAGGING RIGHTS is most def into play. As much as dade say they don’t see broward if it’s NO county they wanna lose to its broward PRE SEASON or not. 
 

so for the simple fact that I KNOW this, you know this both teams & coaches knew this & these “ANALYSTS” know this , it’s weird af to me that Dillard ain’t getn no love at all. Shiid larry blu put us at #12 in his south Florida Top 10, but still lol. 
 

just like the shii talk be loud asf everytime we lose to a good team KOC/regular season. Let the love be just as loud lol.

I’m with you when you right. Although I will say booker T maybe young but they are still very good and gonna make some noise in their region. As I stated up top they may not be at their national champs 2013 status , but them boys around offensively and defensively.

 

in regards to Dillard we are gonna keep doing us & getting better each week & let the rankings fall where they may. It just be funny af how these rankings/analyst contradict themselves sometimes lol. But that’s sports for ya.

Yeah I saw a ranking for top 10 overall in Florida and they had Norland on there and not Armwood. This list was made after their game Saturday lol.

I saw a ranking on iG I think from keepitrealpodcast & not only did they didn’t have ranked homestead at all in their top 10, they had CAROL CITY! At #6 LMFAO LOL & American heritage at #4 lol & they had norland at 8 lol.
