Aye look I’m all for these kids getting the national exposure and having the chance to play against diff types of schools from different states.

but for the love of God please let this be the last year monarch & creek is playing in the showcase both of their home crowds was pathetic lol.

you’re playing in a national showcase but the state Florida view you as title contender and you can’t even fill up 80% of your home side?

hell the west @topnotch305 had more fans on their side as the away team then creek did the home team At their school! lol smh.

When they first launched the broward national showcase and Dillard was invited, we had a tailgate for the game, 99 jams was in attendance , it was cookouts going at folks houses round the stadium, our home side was at 95% capacity before the game even kicked off.

We went to Coconut Creek yesterday, and while the Monarch v Peachtree Ridge crowd was sparse, it was understandable with the 4:00 start. The crowd for the Coconut  Creek v Northwestern game was really good though.

I've been watching big time Georgia and Texas football on youtube.  Those crowds are absolutely crazy and have a bigtime college atmosphere.  Florida just doesn't compare.  I think only in the more rural communities does the community really come out and support the team in this state.  There are just too many teams in any given county compared to these other states.  In Pinellas county for example, there are literally 25+ teams so there is no real community feel here.  Maybe the one exception is Tarpon Springs where it is a unique Greek community that has a lot of civic pride so they support their Spongers.  Everywhere else is just displaced northerners that have no sense of bond with their town or school.  I grew up in Punta Gorda FL and to this day, Charlotte HS is still the only school to serve Punta Gorda and a lot of people grew up there so the town still really comes out.  There are just too few of these communities in FL and ZERO in any of the major metro areas.
