I’ve joked thruout the season that all laws & rules apply to the entire state, not us from South Florida. I said that because us down in So Flo KNOW rules are stretched & broken. When the FHSAA took 2 games away from Western & 1 from Norland because of Rules Violations, shots were fired. When they took the entire season away from Central because of the use of an ineligible player for the entire season, a LOUD & clear statement was made by the FHSAA down here in So Flo.
Cheating & breaking rules aren’t going to be tolerated. The OUTCRY from the team’s & neighborhoods SHOULD, but WON’T BE, we broke the rules & their are consequences. Being ethical & upright will be buried with typical & all too familiar shouts of injustice etc….

It’s a SHAME we just can’t do the right thing & run our football programs according to the by laws & rules…..

sad part is, has anyone in south florida EVER ran it according to the bylaws and rules!

Nope.. northwestern had a great day of practice yesterday and are getting ready for Lely. People I know close to the team haven't said anything. Usually if something is coming up like the central incident I would hear about it before it is made public.  Think this is a rumor but because of the serious allegation made I'll see if it holds any weight when I go to practice today.

And if this is about a player they were trying to tie NW into this Central stuff earlier I know that kid dad personally. He don't turn 19 until next year and had to provide 8 grade docs to prove that. This has Central written all over it. Crabs in a bucket smh.

Innocent until proven guilty. If all this smoke and mirrors, just crown the west champs now cuz they running through the entire 3A. Yea Raines undefeated but MNW will expose that quick.

So per Miami Herald, the allegations seem to be true. The FHSAA stated if , & it looks as though they did use a 5th year ineligible player, sanctions will come after the season! Wonder how the green & white feel about that! Same breaking of the rules but the Bulls won’t be penalized till the season is over! Lol

Could simply be a due process issue . . . i.e., if the matter just now came to the attention of the FHSAA, they would have to give the school notice, the school would have to be given time to investigate (I'll write more about that process later) and respond, appropriate board might have to meet, possible appeals, etc.

While I'm generally not in favor of allowing "guilty" teams to participate in the playoffs, I also understand the general presumption of "innocent until proven guilty" and realize it would be tremendously unfair to punish a team for their presumptive transgressions and make them miss the playoffs only to have the school go through the process and not be deserving of punishment.

After the season?  What about all the schools still alive in that region that will also be punished if they lose to the Bulls when they shouldn't be there in the first place?

Well it “sounds” it’s legitimate. People perhaps dragging their feet at NW & the FHSAA too close to kickoff to call it off???? Me thinks that if it’s the same violation that Central got expelled from the playoffs, that if (when) NW wins the title, it’ll be stripped????

seems pretty cut and dry after reading the article....i cant for the life of me see what the hold up would be.

mnw, send fhsaa the timestamp records of when said student enrolled.  and he is on the playoff roster.

if its what it states,

they forfiet all the games and are eliminated.

why wait 3 weeks,

NW will be fine paperwork legit. And no I'm not just saying that because that's my school. Talked to certain people and asked the right questions before this post.  FHSAA has the paperwork they need. That's all I'm going to say about this and come end of December and Jan. This won't be an issue. This same issue was bought up before the playoffs and it was nothing. Now a certain school still reaching trying everything in their power to end NW season lol. This is my last post about this.

Pretty much.  It serves no purpose to potentially have a title vacated if the Bulls run the table if the documented information clearly demonstrates what the punishment should be.

I believe yours is the best assessment of the situation since the NW team, its coaches and fans are all opposed to this finding.  Unlike Central HS that "SELF-REPORTED" meaning they didn't dispute the violation, a ruling came quickly.  On the other hand like the TFA case, they were also in denial which required the FHSAA to take a couple of months to have an airtight case before handing down the judgement.  Even though in that case they were obviously guilty, the process to bring those charges took quite a bit of time.  So, it probably is way too early for either side to claim their facts are correct. Only time will tell.

Centrals article says self reported but believe they were told on. Thats why they self reported. The kid the article is referring to hasnt been on Nw roster all season if im not mistaken. This is all crab in a bucket nonsense that’ll eventually fade. Though some would love to see the bulls fail it wont hold up.

    • The question i have is & im being serious when I ask this ; what is the difference between northwestern & the first academy.    because the first academy got hit with one of the harshest punishments ive seen recently for doing basically the same thing. Paying for uber rides & other incentives to the players in need & for a lot of the transfers that transferred to TFA but didn’t have transportation to & from.    & there was NO out cry. Matter fact everyone said TFA got what they deserved. But in MNW case it’s all hell broke loose. Is it because who the head coach is ? Or is it because teddy explained what all the money he spent was for ? …….
    • If we keepin it real. Before last year northwestern was known by name, and last history but, their product on the field was avg at best. Their last title was in 2019 & after that they had a 1 or 2 4-6 or 5-5 seasons after.    & most will say they only won the championship last year because outside of central who had to forfeit 3A and the teams that’s in it is HORRENDOUS.    teddy becoming the head coach of the west single handily had transfers legal and illegal coming in left and right because he’s a former/active nfl player & lets face it in 2025 the kids love to follow the hype.    having a face like teddy on the sidelines automatically guarantee that entire team all types of connects, endorsements, exposure & etc.
    • Nolebull, I'm not sure who you're referring to when you talk about the "jealous" and "disdainful" people.  Bridgewater has put the MNW administrators in between a rock and a hard place.   He basically came right out and said "I've been breaking the rules and if you don't like it, tough sh*t."  The MNW admin folks have two choices:  try to take matters into their own hands in hopes that the FHSAA will go easy on them or, alternatively, put their collective heads into the sand, ignore Bridgewater's public confession and hope that the matter quietly goes away.  Oh, and it ain't going away.
    • Sure, but going about it this way will bring more attention to the absurdity of it all. Teddy is going to be just fine given his finances and reputation. The average high school coach who occasionally spends his own money like that, couldn't overcome getting caught helping.  If coaches REALLY wanted to bring about change, they'd have large email chat groups and decide to all come out together, at once, and proclaim that they, too, sometimes dip into their own pocket to help cover expenses. I suppose the schools and/or FHSAA could always cancel the season so as to administer punishments to all the guilty coaches for their generosity.  tl;dr: JUST SAY NO TO COMMUNISM.
    • Imagine the jealously and disdain you have to have for someone that brought you a state title, bringing in top flight talent, so much exposure, huge showcase game against a national brand opponent, all while forking out your own money to do it for some punk clowns to undermine you and try and push you out. SMH.    You know in SFL you can get really good or really bad real fast. So I wouldn’t shocked if this all ends in a dumpster fire that kids start to jump ship and they struggle to maintain the standard
