Some of yall grown folks is praying on a bunch of kids downfall & its sad & pathetic. Had some happy when central fell, clapped wen norland got reprimanded & now its false allegations & hopes to see the bulls suffer too. This lil situation giving yall ammo to now say what you really feel cause you always had a lil hate in yo heart for dade.

I can tell you, without hesitation, that I have an equal amount of disdain for any and all schools that bend and break the rules in order to give themselves a competitive advantage on the field or court.  I don't care whether those schools are in south Florida, southwest Florida or central Florida.

I’ve got a brilliant idea! Have a tournament of all the teams that had wins taken away and have it broadcasted on ESPN 8 The Ocho…..

Gaither

Central

NW

Norland

TFA

Western

I’m sure I am missing some. That’s a solid bracket right there!!

Big picture here:

The idea of "self reporting" is a little bit of a misnomer.   Here's my understanding of the way the process works.

Typically, someone not associated with the school in question provides information to the FHSAA suggesting the school committed impropriety of some sort.  The FHSAA then takes a look at it to see if the information passes the sniff test ("Hmmm, if this is true, this looks like it could be an issue").  If so, the FHSAA sends the information to the school.   Importantly, at this point, the FHSAA has not conducted any sort of investigation; they just pass the information along to the school.   Upon receipt, the school is expected to essentially do their own, internal investigation to "explain" the information that was passed along.  If the school determines that they may have done something wrong, they then "self report" the violation.  The FHSAA then determines if, in fact, a violation has occurred (which they almost always do if a school self-reports a violation) and, if so, what the appropriate sanction should be.  The FHSAA then notifies the school. Generally speaking, the FHSAA rarely ever conducts its own investigation.  However, when they do, if they find the school did something wrong and should have 'self-reported' the misconduct, the FHSAA will come down a little harder on the school than if the school had acknowledged the misconduct from the start.

Again, this is just my understanding.  Feel free to chime in, especially if you've somehow been involved in the process in the last few years.

Yeah right, that sounds like you. Always gotta chip on your shoulder! If it was about the kids, YOUR COACHES & ADMINISTRATION should get their crap together because they’re the ones putting your kids “outta business!” If this was Aquinas or Chaminade the same $hit show would be going down, because people root against great programs! Western got 2,wins overturned because they broke the flipping rules. Broward county wasn’t crying and blaming the world for something the school did illegally. They were closed to missing the playoffs & the kids woulda suffered BECAUSE OF COACHES! No one hates the 305 they hate the ignorance & arrogance of your fans! Most of us relish the opportunity to beat the 305 & respect highly the football from their. SO TRY BE A GROWN MAN & sounded like one instead of some woe is me fool.

No working knowledge of that process, but your description is probably correct.  The clear difference in the cases I used is the one school decided to lawyer up and fight.  Central did not, regardless of the details on self-reporting a quick decision could be determined.  The other fact is the FHSAA is willing to punish cheaters regardless of the geographic region they are from as evident with TFA and not singling out Miami-Dade as implied but where it is taking place.  I support them in that effort.

The thing is it isn’t that black & white. Coaches should know whats always happening, theres no excuse there but I have serious doubts any coach was just knowingly playing ineligible players.

I hear you, but whether the coach knows or not is largely irrelevant.   The player, the player's parent(s)/guardian(s), the coaches and the school administration all play a part in making sure the players are eligible.  If any one of them screws up, it can cost the whole team.  This one may be on the administration.   But, the whole team may end up paying for it.

I just seen an article on Northwestern football team. I don't know if any of it is true but the article said alleged allegations on a 5th year player. I'm just hoping it's not true.

I have nothing to do with pro/or against MNW but was just curious myself. I just simply googled Miami Northwestern Football and it pulled multiple articles up about an alleged ineligible player now from the Palm Beach Post to Sports Illustrated reporting with the key words in the headline being “Teddy Bridgewater”. Probably just focusing on his name to draw in easy clicks, otherwise I’d doubt some of these places would even write an article, but his name is making this stick out more so than it probably would have.

I saw NW twice three times this year, at Coconut Creek, at Venice and at Traz Powell against Columbus. I love watching them play, but if they broke the rules, then there should be consequences. That said, I hope it gets sorted out and they can advance.

I agree with you. I don't want to see Northwestern out the playoffs but cheating isn’t right especially if you're a school like Central or Northwestern. Both of them have talent and can pretty much beat anyone without the help of one individual.

Northwestern has been reported to the FHSAA for a 5th year player. Player started in 2020 left and then went between NW and Central. FHSAA has all the details proof of NW trying to cover tracks.

I'm sure they do lol
