This has been a long time coming for osceola county, Osceola found success in going back to its roots as a wing t power run game, that is complimented by a suffocating defense, and should make for a fun game with west boca, each others weaknesses are one another's strengths

West Boca has a very solid pass game which is the only place osceola has been beat this year

Osceolas Run Game will be the deciding factor in the game, their OL is way bigger and badder than the WB Front

Osceola by a touchdown or less in a game mostly dominated by defense. Swint, Osceola's best weapon, breaks a long TD run to win the game.

Kowboys path to the championship will have required beating the top 3 teams in 6A to raise that trophy so it will have been earned and well deserved.  The class of 2025 has watched us lose in the finals in 2020, then the semi's in 2022 and now they are at the doorstep again.  It won't be easy as that is the nature of the beast, but like they have all year they believe.  GO KOWBOYS & grab that glory.

Going with the Kowboys!

Thanks but I like it better when we aren’t favored to keep that edge.  Seem like everyone is now on the bandwagon and this game certainly isn’t a given.  By the way, good luck to your Naughts as my posts have been clear on Privates vs Public’s so will be pulling for you.

Ray, I believe Osceola wins this game. But they need to play it first. West Boca, like Lake Mary, is making its very first appearance in the finals. But they are technically undefeated and there's a reason for it. Their only loss on the field was to Western, a team that Columbus barely beat.

I like Osceola too. But it will be close. WB has only given up 14 points on the year as their season high. The offense is led by younger guys. All their impact players are underclassmen. WB might be better next year and that’s saying something. I just feel Osceola is gonna be the most physical team they played by far and they will grind out a win.

West Boca relies on their run game and defense.. Gotta make them throw the ball. Their best player is their RB (Mallory) but he hasn’t played much the last 2 games (injury & coach decision), his brother is the QB and they have a D1 corner as well

Bulls defense has been superb……But so has The Kowboys. West Boca has to be disciplined to stop the Osceola run game. Bulls will have to pass to win. Their special teams are at best mediocre. Like Darter alluded to, one mistake & their (Osceola)RB can take it to the house. Bulls need a full game of Mallory, the talented RB, but don’t think they get it.
I have Kowboys -1.5 favorite (but also had Aquinas a -4.5 favorite). Hope it’s a great game.

If West Boca can throw the ball effectively, they have a good shot. Trying to run against Osceola is very daunting. There two losses and one of their closer victories were to teams with very good quarterbacks. I could see a big battle in the trenches as the most likely scenario. If that's what happens, I just feel one of Osceola's two running backs breaks one big run too many and secures the win in a close, low scoring, game.

That was it right there. Very difficult to run against Osceola, difficult but not very difficult to pick up big chunks of yards passing against them. The difference in the game was that the Kowboys have almost no passing game while WB, though they prefer to run the ball is capable of throwing the deep ball effectively. That and the fact that WB's front 7 are really, really hard to run on.

Congrats West Boca on its first state title. Both defenses were good as published. WB won the field position battle & in my thinking that was key. When an offense like Osceola has to go 70/80 yds most of the time, the odds are against them. Especially with as many illegal procedure penalties as they had, putting them behind the sticks.

Just got home from that 4hr drive.  I think Julian's analysis was spot on wit WB controlling field position most of the day as their defense prevented any chunk plays on the ground.  They also never abandoned trying to run the ball even though with little success which opened up opportunities thru the air.  They were as good as we expected and earned the victory.  They cashed in on their opportunities, while the few we had we did not.  Thought the backbreaker was with them leading 10-7, their QB threw into double coverage where we were in perfect position for a second pick.  Instead their WR took that pass for a TD.  Proud of our kids as they have battled all year.

    • Jambun someone posted this on Facebook and curious if this is true since the FHSAA rules are based off of NFHS, although I do know that some do differ. What’s your take, should that have been a dead ball penalty right there?    “NFHS Football Rule 9-1-3 Assisting the Runner "No player shall assist the runner by grasping, pulling, pushing or lifting him to advance." Approved Ruling / Interpretation A teammate taking or stripping the ball from a runner in order to advance it is considered assisting the runner. The act of grasping the ball carrier or the ball itself to gain yardage is illegal unless it is a legal handoff or backward pitch initiated by the runner. Penalty (Rule 9-1-3) 5 yards Spot foul Ball becomes dead immediately when the illegal assistance  The player who took the ball from the receiver approached him from the front and was never behind them during the exchange. The ball was handed to him in front him and not a backwards lateral. It states that a handoff in front of the line of scrimmage applies to this and is considered illegal. As stated in just curious about this if the play should have been called dead right there. Win/loose state championship or kick off classic I’d just like to get your take on this one particular play compared to what the rules would be. The screenshot is at the moment the players exchanged the ball. In front of the original recover and beyond the line of scrimmage. Thank you.   Lake Mary Hail Mary Exchange

Just a fresh lurker spittin' facts on them scripted jawns and the rest bein' straight mid. Keep it movin', fam.  But real talk, that 7A thriller with Lake Mary snatchin' victory on the last play? Straight WWE script, fam. And Raines comin' back to edge Northwestern 23-22? That drama had the league smellin' like Vince McMahon was callin' shots from backstage. Rest of 'em? Straight snoozefest, mid as hell. Just a new cat out here observin' the circus, keep scrollin' if you ain't feelin' the vibe.
    • Drive Pink in Ft Lauderdale compares well to FIU except FIU is a football stadium so that gives it the nod.  In addition the parking and concessions are much better.  It may have been improved by now but the Drive Pink unpaved parking lot was a sand pit.  The large FIU parking lot grass is the golf course type.  It’s not perfect but is an improvement.  FIU concessions are much better.  One side of the stadium has more variety but the other is fine as well.  A negative that FIU shares with all the other stadiums is there aren’t restaurants and stores that are walking distance.  The good news is with games at 12:30 and 7:30 there are plenty of places nearby to drive to and easily make it back to the night game in time. BTW, The Villages has and is building restaurants and stores that are within walking distance.  Since Jambun has let the cat out of the bag we might have this to look forward to.

    • I am speaking in general terms, not on a specific incident or game.  Does your question about which official imply that NO official in their 15th game screws up?
