Have seen Trenton I wouldn't put them in there at all if they make playoffs I would see them bounced first round. There way down compared to teams of the last few years they have had.

I have too but honesty 4a is really thin once you get past the top 2 and especially the north end of bracket

4/5 so 2 you missing but i think there's one you probably aren't aware you left out lol

4/5 and im missing 2? Oh, I thought it said 5 up top. Ok drop Trenton and add in GC and Raines; i thought you were basing this off right now, but I guess its on who you think can win titles.

I only put Trenton in there based off knowledge of what it takes to get there and that they won by a decent amount in game one.

South Sumter and Raines would be over them hands down IMO

Raines yes

South Sumter looks very down this year

That region 2 probably down to dunnellon and Trenton at this point

Either team loses to raines in final 4 though unless dunellon really steps up late

And @Cocoa2010the 2 you added were right but the one currently on outside is dunnellon and I'm keeping a eye on them, they just barely missed the cut this week,  they were one of like 10 teams i heavily considered for top 100 but will have a good chance to jump in rankings soon

@FORTWHITEFAN76 main reason Trenton is still there is because i didn't do rankings after kickoff classics and i was ranking as a transition from preseason to post week 1 and i put greater emphasis on week 1 then kickoff classics so even though Trenton didn't look good against cheifland they won and as you will see i only dropped teams coming off losses so Trenton basically survived dropping after week 1

I'm trying this way to figure out the best ranking method so it might change as year goes on but a spoiler alert you might like is Fort White made the list this week

Columbia if I did a state ranking I would be guessing but I have seen most teams in Central Florida play either in person or on film.  Sumter, Lake, Orange, Seminole and Volusia County.  Here is my top 10. Last # is maxpreps state ranking.

1. Apopka 45(a little low you think)

2. Mainland 10

3. Jones 23

4. Osceola 17

5. DP 15

6. Wekiva 138 way too low they are loaded

7. Bishop Moore 44

8. OC University 24 (they are not top 25)

9. Winter Park 63

10. Seminole 75

top 10 should probably all be in top 100

others Olympia 86, Hagerty 87

Edison appears to be a mess right now, and Pace took a hit this spring but look to be making their way.  We'll see if they can right the ship in the coming weeks with what they have to work with.

Pine Crest Fort Lauderdale was a real sleeper to me until they lost their QB in a pre-season game to Glades Day in the first series.  Not sure how severe the injury is but I believe it was a shoulder...If QB Kam Kadivar returns to Pine Crest this season don't count them out to possibly sneak in the playoffs. Kadivar is one of the top QBs in Broward IMO.

This is what I had for  4A - Region 4 for Pre-season and where I rate them as going into week 2:  up (+) , down (-) or neutral (=):

4A- Region 4

BTW (+)

University School (+)

Glades Central (=)
Miami Edison (-)
Monsignor Pace (-)
Pine Crest (-)

North Broward Prep (=)
Key West (+)
Gulliver Prep (=)
Keys Gate (=)
Lasalle Academy (np)
Coral Springs Charter (=)

will only comment on Central Florida teams

5 Apopka (+5) 8A  1

10 Mainland (+2)  6A  4

11 Dr Phillips (+5) 8A  2 lost to Osceola in KOC

13  Osceola (+13) 8A  3 probably a little too high along with DP at this point

30 Orange City University (-3) 8A  10 think they are ranked too high.

50 Sanford Seminole (+3) 8A  16 lost a lot from last year.  Probably too high at the moment.  Could be there when it is over

52 Jones (-1)  5A  6 super talented we will see how it plays out

58 Bishop Moore (+4) 5A  8

78 Lake Brantley (-8) 8A  21 they lost week 1 to Hagerty.  They shouldn't be top 100

Wekiva would beat at least  1/3 of the teams in your top 100

Winter Park should also be top 100

you got some teams listed that lost to teams not in your top 100

I agree with that

One of biggest issues im having is i ranked some teams way too high or way too low in preseason and am having complications correcting them so some teams survived getting knocked out

Lake Brantley don't look as strong as i first inticipated but they were too high up to remove in 1 loss

Trenton was ranked before i had seen them in person and before they got shut out by Fort White in KOC and can't really boot them out of top 100 coming off a win,  I'm personally not a fan of dropping teams after a win

And with wekiva, when do they play apopka?

    • Just wait till spring is over and the top RB in the area will take his talent to 1 Indian Ave.
    • This will be an interesting story to follow.  Venice has no proven RB headed in to spring which will be a first for a long time.  They have produced several Dairy Farmers player of the years in that position.  They also will have a massive offensive line with 2 three year starters who return as well as some stud young kids.  They will probably average around 6'4 295 on the line which is huge for Venice standards.  I just wonder if this will change before the start of the season.  I still fell like someone will show up.
    • Are you still talking to me??  Thought I was pretty clear for you not to waste your breath on this subject matter, but somehow you are missing the point.  Teacher unions have limited power in FL because the candidates they overwhelming support keep losing.  If they had won, the teacher union vote had a lot to do with it and would be wielding that power.  Osceola county which isn't a GOP stronghold during the past two national elections had the journalism students for the OHS monthly newsletter (Kowboy Jake) interview the faculty as to their political leanings.  A sample of about 30 teachers that were interviewed were voting as follows:  25 D vs 5 R.  Enough said.
    • You missed the point of my union post. Teacher unions in strong union states have power. Florida unions have zero. They cant strike and the school board can implement a contract without the unions approval. Florida unions are not preventing any raise in Florida. The state has attacked a straw man here.
