Playoff point system has major flaws

Hagerty gets 38 points for beating 0-5 Ocoee 22-21

Viera gets 33 points for losing to 4-0 Cocoa in overtime

Miami Central gets 33 points for losing to IMG in a game they led late.

Apopka gets 33 points for losing to 4-0 Lakeland by 7 in the last minute on the road.

Booker T Washington gets 28 points for losing to Miami Northwestern by 7

I could give more examples but no need to.

In conclusion it is better to schedule bad to average teams and win then schedule great teams and lose close.

Columbia almost has a better point average then anyone in region 1

Only 2 higher are undefeated and barley ahead

I was shocked when I saw Vero has the highest point totals of all classes, regions etc etc

I've been saying that all along. Of course if you just win your district, points don't matter.

Except that depending on whether you are seeded 1 to 4, it will affect not only who you play in the first and subsequent rounds, but whether you are home or on the road.

District champs gets you no lower than #4 seed and home for round one. That's good when you consider that the old system did the same.

I don't see why schools schedule teams with little chance of winning with hopes of getting points. 35 points is better than 33. Besides, why play an IMG Academy when there are other good programs that can get you potentially 50 points that you actually have a shot at beating?

I don't like the fact that you don't get anything for playing higher classification teams.  I realize that a good 1a team may be harder to beat than a bad 4a team but a bad 4a team will smoke a bad 1a team.  If classification doesn't matter then do away with classification.

It's because if we did that teams like Columbia would have no reason to play a 1a Madison team when we could get more points by playing Deland for example

The current system is to reward playing good teams not just high class teams

Ohhh noooo!!!! lol how do we get Miami central!!! Smh and Carol city gets Jensen beach what's has to happen for us to get Jensen or manzaga or w.e dey called

Well 3 of 4 wild cards projected to come from that district so odds are you all will host 1 of 4 teams from district 16

And how come Carol city would get Jensen beach ????

District champs are locked as seeds 1-4 in order of points among district champs

Wild cards are seeds 5-8 based on points

And because Jensen Beach is listed as projected district champ but that could change

That's the exception if you seeded 4a vs 1a best against best down to worst vs worst 4a wins every single game.
