Wow 10-0!!!!!

Ely lost some dudes including their elite QB. And none of those other teams outside of MAYYYBBEEEE Miramar has a chance. Maybe Dr Pepper, but I think Dillard gets em.

Overall this is not a great schedule, but the positive is Dillard will get a lot of guys valuable playing time, and the record going  into the offseason of 10-2 or 11-1 will be attractive to studs who want to be apart of something on the cusp of taking the next step

Remember Ely is Dillard rival and record goes out the window. Besides Ely Miramar and Dr. Phillips might be the only other tough games. I'll say the regular season ends

10-0

8-2

7-3

In your opinion, which of those games, if any, will Dillard be the underdog and have trouble winning?

Honestly, with the team Dillard has returning and the additions their getting, if they hit the ground running, they can very well go 10-0.

but with this sports stuff , we know teams start to hit their stride after a few games.

our toughest games from toughest to least I’ll say.

#1. DR.PHILIPS, this will be the first ever meet up between these two teams, so Dillard would have to adjust during the game to whatever they may throw at us.

dr.philips was in the state semis last year with a 12-2 record. So they will be coming in to make a statement as well.

#2. Ely(soul bowl) enough said. Records go out the window.

In regards to our schedule. aye lol you can’t break contract. Four of those teams are district games so we got to play them.

Ely- that’s soul bowl that game will always be played .

Deerfield , Miramar , stranahan & B.A were all 2 year home & away agreements.

So this year the location is just flipping.

We could’ve had STA, central,MNW,img, st Francis & bishop Gorman on the schedule ima still stand 10 toes down and say LINE DAT SH*T UP.

10-0

8-2

7-3

7-3 would be a huge disappointment. At worst 8-2, dare I say 9-1. Anything else would be a problem for me lol.

So, is this going to be a situation where Dillard will have a fantastic regular season, going 10-0 or 9-1, and then falter in the playoffs because they didn't play anyone challenging in the regular season?

No the same thing is gonna happen to them that happens to every other team. They are forced to face a recruited up all star transfer team full of 4 and 5 star guys at every position and lose by 35. Just as nature intended :P

I said 7-3 because I can see Dillard loosing to these three but nobody else on the schedule.

Dr. Phillips

Miramar

Ely

I wouldn’t go that far. Only because I believe in our coaching staff. We had this same schedule last year, lost our starting Qb in week 7 & had to lean on our sophomore 3rd string qb , which led us to a first round playoff victory over previously unbeaten John caroll catholic , and then led us to a 14-0 halftime lead on the road vs then #30 in the nation American heritage. Ultimately losing 24-14.

When it comes to Dillard this year, this year is about building on last years run/success. There’s no need to line the schedule up with national ranked opponents, because as of right now Dillard isn’t a nationally ranked program. We lost a few pieces in the trenches to MacArthur, and 2 skilled players to plantation.

in return we did receive a 4* prospect Qb from tru north and a few other skilled players, but we have to see how all of that jells in the regular season.

Anything short of a 2nd round appearance in the playoffs will be a huge step back. A regional final appearance/Win would be a Huge Step forward.

They lost their all everything QB. Did they get a good replacement or is the backup a stud?

Didn’t even know he left I know they lost a couple players to McArthur and 2 WRs to monarch, but it’s crazy tho because I’ve been hearing all around from different sources Ely is gonna be in a rebuild this year. Don’t know how true that it is, but I don’t give a dam 0-6 or 6-0 in week 7 we better kick they buck teeth in lol.

Dr. Phillips

Miramar

Ely

Dr.philips , is a 50-50 matchup if I’m gonna be honest. First time opponent, first game of the season. Rust, nerves, so many different factors that can take place.

Miramar - seems like we play this dam team every year lmao sheessh. I think we’re rivals at this point. Every game is close and down to the wire, and the band battles be fire lol.

nonetheless over the past 6 years, Dillard is (6-0) vs Miramar. Beating them 6 consecutive years. With this year being Not only At Dillard on the new field, but it’s also homecoming. I would be very shocked if Dillard lost that.

ely- soul bowl will always be soul bowl. Records don’t mean a dam thing, and this year we go to ely. So we will see who take it this year.

I agree with all that instead of the 35 point blow out. If we can hold our own against #30 in the nation heritage, at heritage and only lose by 10. I’ll take that over getting boat raced by 35 lmao lol.

    • Nolebull, You are making a good argument for what the rule ought to be or why the rule ought to be changed.   I'm telling you what the rule is.  Interestingly, I witnessed first hand the FHSAA deal with a case that was very similar to the (presumably, hypothetical) one you just described.  A family provided a kid with a bed for the night because that kid had an unfortunate family situation that would have left him homeless for the night had a teammate's family not stepped up and given him a place to stay for the night.  Yep, you got it, impermissible benefit.  Coach and school penalized.  The difficulty is coming up with rules that can't be taken advantage of.  Where do you draw the line?   If paying for an Uber is OK, why can't you just buy the kid a car instead?  More convenient for all parties.  If you can buy a kid a meal, why can't you take his family grocery shopping and let them stock up?  Or, better yet, just give then a gift card and let them spend the money as they please.  What do you do when one school offers up a $1,000 gift card, but another school is willing to give the kid a $2,000 gift card?  Do we really want to turn high school sports into professional sports?
    • Some kids NEED to transfer to get in the best position to change the trajectory of their entire life. Could literally save their life. Difference between going to college and being stuck in your neighborhood getting lost to streets.    And I can only speak for myself, but I’m more interested in a at-risk kid changing his situation for the better in hopes of saving his life than your favorite high school team losing a game because he transferred from your favorite school.
    • I wouldn’t be so critical of the FHSAA if they didn’t lie and say they give 2 craps about student athletes. I wish people would just be honest. But I guess if they were honest, it would mess up their hustle.
    • Wait are you saying there is a rule that bars an adult mentor who coaches young men a sport from helping a struggling student athlete and his family with transportation? Whoa that’s next level crazy.    “Hey coach I’m on the side of the road and almost got hit. I’m miles from school and it’s 110 degrees out. Can you get me a ride?” ”Sorry. Some turds 6 hours away in Gainesville said I can’t. Hope you don’t get hit or pass out.”
    • Say what you want, justify it however you want, wish the rules weren't what they are, but there is no question that a coach or other school representative paying for Uber rides for kids playing sports is a violation of the existing FHSAA rules.  Period.  And Teddy Bridgewater may be or have been an elite athlete, may be or become an excellent high school football coach, and/or may have his heart in the right place, but tweeting out a message to the world that you have done something that undoubtedly constitutes a violation of the rules is just plain stupid.
