Gadsden County heading to play at East St Louis, a midwestern powerhouse.

Gadsden Co better tread lightly this offseason because teams up in the Tally area are snitching about them recruiting. Wouldn’t be surprised if something comes out on them soon. I mean you don’t go from laughing stock homecoming opponent to championship level power in one season without some funny business going on

I called this back in January!

sometimes, you can anticipate things like this when you see how teams schedule. That they scheduled a LONG road game at Venice for last season's KOC and also Coffee, Ga was a sign they knew they got some "ballers". And they scheduled ambitiously again this year. They're a program with very little history of achievement, so we know none of the players they "attracted" came because of some great history. What else would attract them?

Kids get excited over something new and then get a feeling of being wanted when a coach from another school tells them they should transfer. Sadly, the parents who live through their kids get the same feeling. Then the kids get more attention by announcing their transfer over social media and seeing all the likes and reposts they get from it. A lot of kids nowadays want that instant feeling of success rather than going through the long and tough process to get it. As adults we know that going through the process is what makes you a better person but some of these kids are unable to see past tomorrow.

Yeah i was teaching my son how to drive and told him you can’t skip steps. You have to do everything by the book. Doesn’t matter who you seen driving and how they drive. I had to stress my wife and I have been driving for 25 years. You aren’t gonna just jump in and know what to do. So there were some growing pains and bumps in the road (figuratively, not literally).

He thought he could just jump in and start driving like he’s in NASCAR. I told him, you have ZERO knowledge. You are gonna gonna start from scratch in a parking lot and drive 5 miles an hour and learn how to park and back up. This clown wanted to jump on the road and get on the interstate.

Long story short, it’s been 6 months and he’s still not fully ready. I’m not gonna rush the process and put his life and others in danger.

YOU CANT SKIP STEPS!!!!!!

Yeah coaches can't skip steps either. Been a few programs that came out of nowhere and started receiving a large influx of transfers. It seems pretty obvious to most that when this happens the HC might want to blow the dust off the ole rule book and give it a read. They gotta know that with these transfers and newfound success comes a lot of attention to the new and improved program. I'm sure the 8 kids that practiced at GC without being enrolled had no doubts that they were going to do so eventually. But the HC has to be aware of the rules and that these kids came from another program that is probably close in proximity and might have an issue with losing kids. I have little sympathy for these new type coaches that can't see the obvious concerns that may arise and take preventative action (like understanding and following the damn rules).
