That when you pull up to a stadium on Friday, there will be a game taking place. The odds are realistically less than 50%.

What is it about Florida and the FHSAA that there is an absolute refusal to publicly post varsity football schedules?

It is literally the week of the preseason and there is still no link or website that will take you to a reputable source for official schedules. Maxpreps can’t be trusted. Too many inaccuracies and empty schedules.

Well, the biggest reason why there is doubt as to whether there will be a game at the stadium you pull up to in August in Florida is the likelihood of a weather cancellation

I think Maxpreps' schedules and data from ~ 2021 to now is reliable enough. Data from years past is often wrong (though I can't say whether they've cleaned that up much as I haven't looked in a while). But, I'd trust the maxpreps data now as being more than 99% correct. That's to say nothing of their team ratings, which are meaningless guesses...

I’ve posted this before but I was told by a member of the football department in the FHSAA that they did not want to spend the time to do this.  They cited that schedules change a lot and they could not keep up with.  I kid you not but this is what I was told before the 2023 season.  Laz has posted that he would be happy to do it for them.

It’s not just about it being wrong. It’s incomplete.

In other words, "we don't want to do our job, but we're damn sure going to make sure you do your jobs."

That’s insane. Their job is not to provide accurate scheduling for their member schools that they oversee?

I will give them credit. When it comes to incompetence, they really go all in, and perfect their craft at it

According to the 2025-26 FHSAA Football Manual, schools must submit a complete schedule, including any non-district games, via Home Campus by the first Monday of June.  Home Campus is the website that provides software used by the FHSAA to manage schedules, rosters, etc.  So if this policy is being enforced, the schedules should be compiled by early June, and the FHSAA would merely need to import the schedules onto the FHSAA website.  Wishful thinking, I know, but there is a process in place for schools to submit their schedules.

I'm still waiting to see what kind of team the Randazzo School fields this year. Maxpreps had them on a bunch of teams schedules a few years ago. The only problem was that they never had a football team.

They did beat Everglades 7-0 back in 2019 in a defensive slugfest
