MaxPreps lists 41 players on the Lakeland roster (and 4 coaches) on their 2025 page.  I doubt seriously that either of those is accurate, as Lakeland's own website lists 64 players on the 2024 roster.  So I wouldn't draw conclusions from anything posted on MaxPreps without verifying through a second source.

The info on MaxPreps is only as good as the job that people do to enter it. My old high school in Virginia does a really good job of finding people to enter it every year.

found the 2024 L roster on lakelandfootball.com but not 2025?

It’s amazing that we rely so much on MaxPreps but the info is input by representatives from the schools.  Shouldn’t MaxPreps have someone that monitors the schools to enter the complete and accurate information.  This should definitely include rosters and coaches.

I don't know if this isn't common knowledge but Hudl is the platform where coaches input all information. not maxpreps.

I think my old school's page is updated by their sports media organization.

Kinda sure that coaches are required to submit the roster on maxpreps. Not all schools have hudl. Yo @Dr. D help us out! Its gotta be stated in the handbook somewhere.

The FHSAA uses Home Campus as its official website for schools to manage schedules, contracts, player eligibility, rosters, etc, so that is where the actual administrative requirements lie.  There is a requirement that schools that advance to the regional round in the FHSAA playoffs must update team information and have up-to-date statistics on MaxPreps.  So I may have missed it, but I have not found an FHSAA requirement for schools to provide accurate and complete rosters on MaxPreps.

Tampa and Orlando should create a bypass.  Lord knows they may fare a little better in the win column during the playoffs.  Adding Orlando to the conversation does very little to bolster your argument.
