That was a good play. Spruce has a nice shifty back. They have some good skill guys but the discipline is horrible. Special teams non existent. Defense leaves a lot to be desired.

Basically they look like 100-150 other FL teams

Spruce Creek up 25-22 with 1:26 left.  Avon better pull this out or it will be a long bus ride back to Ohio tonight.

There hasn’t been one second of this game where I thought Spruce would win.

But if that money is for each and every student, then what is the difference in the school they attend? That money is specifically for that one student regardless of the school they go to. they are just using the voucher program to attend a different school.

taxpayers are on the hook for about $10K per kid. If we are paying $10K for that kid to go to school, then what’s the big deal if the kid chooses a school that best fits their needs? one of the biggest differences from public to private is the bullying. Most private schools have way less tolerance for bullying than public schools do.

That's the concept and how the program was sold by the billionaire, uber religious, head of FL education.  I stress the religious part because that is the not-so-hidden real intent, which is to promote private, christian based education.  However, the reality is always different than the intent.  The reality is it is making private schools very wealthy while drying up funding for public schools.  Right now, it is purely a rich kid and private school benefit and not a benefit to all.  If private schools had held their tuition steady to allow better access to not-rich kids, maybe I wouldn't have such a problem with it.  Nope, private schools jacked up their tuition as a result and are raking in the money.  Watching public schools cut program after program and cut staff just to meet their budget while private schools get wealthier just irritates me to no end.  Anyway, this is a football forum and so steering this back to football, the voucher program has really hurt FL football.  Underfunded schools mean underfunded football programs.  FL is falling wayyyy behind other states in coaching and facilities.

I guess you're was wrong lol:lol:

Haha Spruce did everything they possibly could to lose the game and still won. Avon would get obliterated by a team with just a little more discipline.

This game reminded me of that South Park episode where the kids were forced to play baseball and kept trying to intentionally lose so they could stop, but the teams they were playing were trying to lose too!  LMAO!!!
