They went 16-0 last year and finished as the number 1 team in Ohio.

Can you imagine how long and painful that bus ride back to Avon must be.  They should be in North or South Carolina about now sleeping or stopped at a Cracker Barrel getting some breakfast.  Breakfast at Cracker Barrel is good for the soul.

They probably flew. It was through the KSA Events. They are a travel agency that gets these teams to fund raise absurd amounts of money to come and play some bad team and visit Disney. The way they do it is once a team commits to coming, they are given applications for FL teams they are willing to play. But the KSA Events vets the teams and will only give the traveling teams the worst teams first. It’s not speculation. I have been front and center during the process one year. 
 

These teams raise an average of $50,000-$60,000 for an all-inclusive package of airfare, hotels, food, transportation, amusement parks and play a football game. When you pay that much money you want a guaranteed win. 
 

Avon thought they were getting a free win! But the instead they paid $60,000 to lose to a bad team! LMAO!!!!

I would like to point out there are a few coaches who come to FL that actually want to test their team. But for the most part, the teams that come want that sure fire win and will hold out for the worst they can get. 
 

But here’s the shady thing. The KSA will hold applications of FL teams and not show the traveling schools until they get garbage teams to sign up. I had at least 5 teams last year get in direct contact with 3 people at KSA, fill out the applications, and when I reached back out to the teams they said KSA never reached back out and they can’t get ahold of them. 
 

Fast forward to Chardon Ohio and Ramsey NJ. Both played horrible garbage teams last year. And when the coaches were asked why they chose them, they said that those were the only teams KSA offered and that they needed to secure the games for before their school boards deadline. 
 

Which means the KSA events purposely kept the 5 teams applications from being seen and held off as long as they could to secure the 2 garbage teams. And the 5 teams weren’t even powers. Hell one was North Miami High. Lol. 
 

point is the KSA events is shady business but sometimes it comes back to bite them like last night

I know of a team that had a game pretty much scheduled against a top Colorado HS at the Disney Wide World sports event. That was untill the Colorado HS realized that there were two different schools that had the same name. One was really good and the other was really bad. The Colorado team canceled once they reviewd game film and figured it out. They ended up playing some terrible team at the event instead. I never respected that s--ty event after that.

Damn that’s crazy. Colorado teams are famous for that garbage. Who was the FL teams?

Come on 'bull. Spruce Creek's not STA,C-M, or MNW, but their also not a bad team or school. Coach Andy Price has been one of the best area coaches for more than 20 yrs. Now with free agency being the law of the land, he's getting some normally Mainland Blue & Gold athletes settling for his school just a short few miles away. Academically, plus having very good boys and girls all-round sport teams makes Spruce Creek the Gold Standard for area public school pride and success . I see you're still a hater despite the move to Appalachia.

Spruce is 90th in FL. They will shoot up the rankings. I watched the game. Spruce was the most sloppy and undisciplined team I ever watched. It was like a Pop Warner game. 2 different coaches almost got ejected. They had 20 penalties and countless of special teams blunders. Parents cussing loud in the stands.  And all around embarrassing display of football. If that’s the gold standard I would hate to see what’s worse than that

Avon is staying in Florida for the Labor Day Weekend, they have a hotel in Orlando. Avon's JV team defeated Spruce Creek's JV team 31-6 Friday Morning.
