my panthers are on the road for the 2nd consecutive week in this district matchup,which will for all intense purposes be for the district title. 

 

the bulldogs come in (2-0) in the district, Dillard Also Comes in (2-0) in the District.

When these teams met last year Dillard was playing dr Garcia on a Thursday night with it being their 3rd game in 6 nights. The panthers came out with a 30-0 victory. 

ON A ROLL- My panthers are having their best season since 2019 where we went 12-1 and made it to the regional finals. But offensively dillard is having one of the most prolific scoring seasons in florida history. Outscoring their opponent 333-23.

The panthers have to stay focused & take it one week at a time & its starts with getting to (8-0) this week & moving to (3-0) in district play.

With our next 3 games we can probably can get 60 plus in two of those if not all 3.but if that is the record.to even come close to that would be a feat in its own right. That's not easy to do. And how long ago did they make that record? And what's the closest team that came to breaking it ?

It was 2013. Im not sure much else. I can’t find any other info about most points in a season. They did score 752 total that year including playoffs but the article didn’t mention if that is the all time record for the state

Got you got you. I'm gonna look at film on Garcia tonight. If we can put 30 on the last year playing our 3rd game in 5 nights im interested what we can do this week

Doc Garcia got rolled by Atlantic and lost to 21-10 to Martin Co, and have beaten some weak teams. They shouldn't pose any problems for Dillard.

If they do that's a problem. Hopefully we can get another shut out this week, get our backups some reps in and secure a lopsided victory

I apologize Dillardboyz.   It was against Martin County.  Either way the Panthers won’t have much trouble with el Doctor.

I was actually surprised they lost the martin game then they struggled vs wellington last week 20-12

@nolebull813 These were the Worst refs I've ever seen. 4 touchdowns called back, refs threw over 13 flags minimum on Dillard , literally drove garcia up and down the field after them going down 21-0 to keep them in the game ABSOLUTE dog shit game. Im pissed the hell off. We put up over 56 points on that crooked ass team. In the pouring rain. Smfh shit was insane

Damn that sucks for the kids. They have nothing to do with the shady back room dealings these refs do. Ruining highlights that these kids would have remembered forever. Most kids don’t play college ball. These TD’s could be some of the best memories they have for the rest of their life. And these crooked ass zebras took it away from them.

      So absolutely dumb question here.  How are you allowed into the playoffs if you didn't play any district games?  Without being in a district, you aren't assigned a region so it seems like you should be ineligible since you don't have a region to qualify in?   Excuse my language, but FUCK THE FIRST ACADEMY!  They cheat, break all the rules, and then wreck everyone else's playoff experience.  There are teams still in limbo as they sort this out.  FUCK THE FIRST ACADEMY! I have never written a swear word in any post on this forum so for me to start posting language like this, it really means I truly hate that team.  They recruited, broke rules and then decided to be IMG and play a national schedule.  Great, a national team has a different mission than the rest of us who roll with our student body.  GTFO of our playoffs and go play with the other recruiters.  I personally know a kid who transferred into that school this year.  This kid has not played for the same team two years in a row since I first met him in youth ball.  He is home schooled (so no school essentially), has reclassified to develop more, and is the perfect fit for those no-school, sports only mercenaries who play for TFA.  He somehow transfers 100+ miles to another school too?  I guess that's legal... looking at you Lakeland and Venice lol.   Anyway, did I mention FUCK THE FIRST ACADEMY yet?

      That’s horrible: holding the winter sports hostage. This is digusting behavior on the part of the FHSAA. These actions are common with entities that have nothing to lose, and want to sabotage as much as possible before crashing and burning.    The FHSAA doesn’t seem redeemable. It’s time to flush this turd down the toilet and start over

      My son is a wrestler and the 24th ranked 215 in the state for 3A.  This is definitely going to hurt him initially because wrestling is a really tough sport to jump back into and he will be behind.  The positive is the heavier weight classes (190+) are typically football players so most kids are joining late due to football so it's mostly equal footing catching up.   Now our basketball team is absolutely gutted by this.  They can't even field a team until they get their guys back from football.

      My son's team is in the 4A-7A FIT and I don't think there are any truly bad teams in this bracket.  It seems like it would be a better tournament if they either combined 1A-3A with the 4A-7A or Rural FIT bracket.  It's still experimental so maybe FHSAA will make adjustments next year? As far as why is a 2-8 team in the tournament?  Talking to our coach, you have to opt into the tournament.  There are teams out there who opted out so a 2-8 team had to opt in to agree to travel 6 hrs for a meaningless tournament.  Pensacola HS wants to extend their miserable season for some reason?  Maybe they are young and want some more development time?  I dunno, no way I would have opted in.
