Also, Pahokee doesn't recruit. Who the hell would want to transfer to the muck.

Lol...You got that right. There are no Malls, Strip Malls, Movie theaters, Arcades, or fast food restaurants in Pahokee.

There is nothing else to do but play football.

On a serious note...The Pahokee kids seem to work very hard, they play with a big chip on their shoulder. And they love being the underdog.

It's the Chip that teams need to watch out for. It can make a kid set goals, work extra hard, play as a unit, knowing they have to prove something to themselves, and prove to the other teams they got what it takes.

Like Tiger said, there are only 11 players on the field when the ball is snapped.

Cocoa better be ready... this is going to be better than the Bartram game was. I would say more like Trinity CA with some Viera thrown in.

Who wants it more? Will it go down to the last snap? I'm excited to see this one.

Classes 2A and 2B migrated to Class 3A in 2011. Class 3A replaced both 2A and 2B classes which were eliminated. Also, most of the previous 3A teams migrated to 4A. So, effectively teams in 2A and 2B were playing 3A ball all along. The new 3A was just an administrative change and not a change that denoted enhanced technical ability.

Glades Central is another good team out of that area. They have 6 championships to there name in 3 & 4 A, too. They're currently just out of the playoff pairings by 0.03 pts, behind Gulliver Prep. And they have Pahokee the week after Cocoa in a rivalry game.

I may leave the Viera vs.South Fork game after the first few series if it starts to get ugly.(Joe P. should have Viera favored 62) and head North to Cocoa to check this out.  I love what Pahokee players bring to the table.  However, everybody needs to slow down, Pk will struggle on this road trip, but will then win their rival game against GC.

41-13? Why do you consider the game to be a blowout?

From the Palm Beach Post (They always pick against Pahokee..in-county or out-of county, until the finals) LOL!

No. 2 Pahokee (6-1) at Cocoa (7-0): The Tigers, who are the reigning Class 4A champions and the No. 1 team in this week’s Associated Press poll, have dispatched everyone they’ve played this year, including state-ranked teams like Jacksonville-Trinity Christian, Daytona Beach-Mainland, Viera and St. John’s-Bartram Trail. The Blue Devils have won five straight, but Cocoa could easily end that streak.

Jodie: Cocoa 27-13; Adam: Cocoa 28-14

Nobody really is. Even the podcast yesterday on this website spoke about Cocoa vs Rockledge like the game against Pahokee really doesn't exist.

It's not that it doesn't exist. The game is a factor for points, but Rockledge has been a surprise this year and we had to throw that out there because points on that game are going to matter now.

Should of consulted me on Rockledge. :) They will win district easily and will give Cocoa a better game then Pahokee. Cocoa 35- Pahokee 14.

Rockledge  26   Cocoa 28

From what I gathered. Cocoa is not big on passing the ball.

I think "lil old" Pahokee may surprise a lot of you tonight. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Hawkins isn't your average back. Didn't score on Viera but broke off a half dozen huge gains. Doubt Pahokee has team speed on defense to prevent the long td runs over an entire game.

Team speed is Pahokee's strength. That's all they do have. Pass coverage seems to be Pahokee's weakness this year. Sounds like they don't have to worry about that tonight because Cocoa doesn't throw the ball.

How is the Hawkins kid, compared to Vero's RB (Dixon)?

Obviously, someone hasn't done their homework on Pahokee, if he thinks that they don't have any team speed. Hawkins and Dixon (Vero's RB) are night and day comparisons. Dixon is a downhill, thumper, that lacks the long end speed. While Hawkins  is a big play waiting to happen in the pass or run game.

This^ Dixon will run you over before trying to side-step you, and will get better results. Hawkins is elite speed and vision, can break one on any play. Any high school team would love to have either one. Against Viera, I thought Hawkins more impressive.

Meant more from a depth standpoint on speed. Just considering roster size, Hawkins can score in 4th as much as in 1st quarter.

This is one of the deeper Pahokee teams. No skill players play both ways, and they rotate lineman so they're fresh all game. Outside of West Park Prep (home coming) every opponent has been a 6/7/8A team, and Pahokee has worn them down by the fourth....Except Seminole Ridge because Pahokee was sloppy the first half, but they held Ridge scoreless from the second quarter to 1 min in the fourth

    • First I want to express my apologies for my absence the last few months. Without going into much detail I have had some personal life struggles I have been dealing with on top of figuring out the direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com in. Things have finally settled out some over the last few weeks although I am not completely out of the woods just yet. Some of the decisions about what direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com have been forming over this time while I went through things. Part of me wondered if it was time to go, but really it is not at all. Thankfully, a loyal supporter near me in Gainesville decided to put their mouth where their money is and did a little investing and today FloridaHSFootball.com launched its first-ever Mobile App. With that said it comes with the sunset of the MVP Membership Subscriptions and thus FloridaHSFootball.com will be 100% free for the first time in a while. This comes as needing to get the clearances with Apple and Google and the current subscription platform we have is not syncing with Apple's system nor with the App itself. Its best we go in this direction to grow fans again and being able to put them facing forward with an app on their phone going forward. Here are the download links for the apps: iOS (Apple): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/floridahsfootball-com/id6477621728 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floridahsfootball.app&hl=en_US&gl=US   For now the forums will not be available directly in the app. At some point I maybe looking at changing the whole forum software that could eventually integrate into the app. It will be a while before this happens so things will go on as they are here.   I also apologize for any of the spam and troll accounts that have managed to find their way around the security protocols in setting up new accounts. It seems every day these things find ways to pass through control systems. I am going to be looking at getting this solved and will keep an eye on things here as we go along.   Please feel free to reach out to me if you all need anything, want to chat or have any suggestions.   -- Josh
    • They can definitely beat Central. My bulls is a toss up but I feel we should have the edge. EJ will be hard to stop though. Glad they not in 2A with us.
    • Blountstown at WS Neal AL Sept 27th. Also the Tate vs. Faith Academy game is no more. Tate will be playing Escambia instead now.
    • I like it if there is only 4 classes
    • I like the match. An entire COUNTY against a small little Catholic school. Toss up.
