I think it was bigger that.  Chaminade fans were pretty arrogant.  They thought the Lions winning was a forgone conclusion.  After the game a lot of the Chaminade fans sat almost frozen like they were in shock.

I thought the coaching staff didn’t have one of their best days.  The officials made 2 big mistakes in the 4th quarter that hurt Chaminade.  An obvious fumble recovery was ruled not a fumble.  The other after an incompletion the clock continued to run.  It ran off 30 seconds that the Lions could have used at the end of the 4th quarter.  It didn’t appear that the Chaminade coaches recognized it.  The fans sure did.

This was a big upset, but this isn't your Papaw's Chaminade team. They were limited in the passing game with a freshman QB who...well...played like a freshman. Spot on about the clock not stopping after the incompletion. How does that happen at ANY level, let alone a state title game? That was an embarrassing sequence for the officials and somebody needs to get to the bottom of that. The fumble was pretty obvious on TV, but that call can be missed if an official doesn't have the right angle to see it. The clock not stopping was next level incompetence for an entire crew to miss that.

The officiating is what really stood out to me with this game, it wasnt that there was a bang/bang type play that everyone can debate forever about, the deal with the clock was significant in as far as deciding the eventual outcome. Then last night as I watched the Raines/Northwestern game, the 1st thought that came to me was "hmmmm, I know the boyz in Miami like putting money down on these High School games, Im kinda wondering to myself......what player(s) had money bags left at their lockers before the game??????" just sayin:ph34r:

I thought that the Raines/Northwestern game was extremely well-officiated, and the game clock operator was right on the money!

The 3rd and 8 pass to Northwestern's WR that was ruled a completion even though he clearly caught the ball a foot or more out of bounds in front of the official?

That is a good point.
