The First Matchup That Was Revealed Was Bishop Gorman Will Be Facing Off Against Miami Colombus.

Now While I am grateful for the tournament & All The Teams Thats Gonna Get Their Chance To Showcase Their Programs. 

 

What im Not A Fan Of is , Today's Reveal was Hyped up The Last Month Plus, Only For 1 Game to Be revealed & We Have to Wait Until Tomorrow For Another Reveal & so on & so Forth. Why Not Just Reveal All The Matchups At Once.

Columbus was 4-8 and finished 98th just in the state of Florida

Heavy neither of these are from Broward. But in Columbus defense they have completely revamped their football program starting with hiring former miami central head coach, coach Jube and allowing him to build his staff. So far Columbus have received over 30 transfers from across broward and dade including but not limited to the 5* WR A1 who transferred to west broward last year and was one of the main pieces that led the wildcats to their first ever state championship appearance. The exploeres  are gonna b loaded this year. How will all of it transfers to the field, only time will tell

Im not sure if youre aware but west broward had a mass transfer exodus after their state appearance last year 30+ of their players left. 15 alone went to carol city to play for previous chaminade OC Toro whose now the head coach at carol city. The rest left for Columbus

Not to take this thread in a completely different direction, but this is my biggest concern for a relegation system, where teams are moved up or down based on one successful or unsuccessful year.  Imagine a team like West Broward being highly successful last year, then losing all their stud players, yet getting pushed up into a higher division for this coming year.  This situation could happen because of the de facto transfer portal or it could simply happen to a smaller school that has one of those 'once-in-a-generation' senior classes that takes the team to states.  Especially in this day and age, if a team has a down year, it could take years for that team to recover and become competitive again.

What's crazy is that west broward has never been looked at or has ever been a solid football program let alone a contender. They've been a doormat for decades. 

Last uear because of one coach turned west broward to a must transfer school , west Broward received a 80% transfer in take last year wirh most of those same transfers leaving to transfer to a new school this year. It just goes to show how the right amount of transfers can turn any doormat to a contender over night and how losing them same transfers can. Put you flat on your face which takes years to recover from

All those teams you mentioned all had 1 thing in common a HEAVY flux of transfers , when those transfers went else well the program suffered which is why its so important to build a state title contender from the ground up and from within because when you find microwave success from taking from other programs. What the old saying say "How u get em is how u lose em"

These Broward clowns have destroyed this event with their incompetence. Last year 5 of the 7 games were blowouts. That’s not a good product. When you get 5 of 7 wrong, you fail!!!

Im not sure if they thought the broward teams were gonna put on a better show or the out of state teams they invited they thought while good wouldnt be that good to embarrass the host florida schools.

So obviously STA/AHP/Chaminade can play most years with national top 25 teams. So I get bringing in 3 big dogs. But they brought in 4 last year and threw West Broward to the wolves. They had no business playing a national top 25 type team. 
 

And I know Peachtree Ridge isn’t some powerhouse, but when you choose Piper who was horrible last year, it looks bad. They were so bad and the quality of product suffered. Dillard vs PTR would have been a much better game and Piper/Dr P most likely would have been close. 
 

And now they got Western playing a team ranked THOUSANDS higher in the national rankings. There are about 10 Broward teams better than Western that would be a much better game for the Colorado team based on the national rankings.

whoever makes the matchups is obviously incompetent. Because there is no way in hell that 10 Broward teams said hell no to playing in the classic.

Western was ranked 3,556th nationally and Pine Creek was ranked 859th. 
 

Now I know national rankings aren’t the gospel, but that’s about 2,700 different. So even know it’s not an exact science, that’s such a discrepancy that there’s no way Pine Creek should lose to such an inferior opponent. 
 

and the worst part was the clown coach from Pine Creek was talking yesterday about shocking the world. Lol. Why, because you can beat a 7 loss team that’s 2,700 spots lower than you? Lmao! These clowns honestly believe just beating a FL team or team from a traditional power state is all the same. It doesn’t matter if it’s the school for the blind, as long as it gots the “FL” after the name, then it’s shocking the world!!!

Aye these teams out of state are tired of hearing about how we got the most speed down here, the best athletic talent, the best players, so when they do come down here they probably feel like because of our speed alone any fl team would be favored over a team from out of town lol. (Crazy thinking I know).

Hell for all we know pine creek probably dont receive alot of respect in Colorado so them making the long trip to south florida and getting a win would be "bragging rights" for their city, hell none of them people know about our teams down here so they wouldnt know the difference lmao lol

You’re right. Most people don’t follow HSFB enough to know 99.9 percent of the teams. So if they came back and said they beat a Florida team, they are gonna brag no matter how horrible the FL team and how great they end up being. 
 

Because it doesn’t matter what state you are from as long as the opponent is bad enough. The 560th ranked FL team is gonna lose to teams from Alaska, Vermont, Montana etc etc. 

Colorado is the top state that seeks out the worst teams they can find. Georgia and Colorado are probably 1/2 in actively seeking out the worst possible opponents
