Playing college sports is the equivalent of working at least a half time job while being in school. For certain sports in certain high powered programs, it's the equivalent of a full time job. Many college coaches in marquee sports make seven figures a year and the power 5 programs get a hefty chunk of revenue for their troubles. In short it is big business.

Add to the above the fact a college degree no longer gets one the type of job it did 15 to 20 years ago. And for their troubles, most college athletes never get to play professional.

With all the aforementioned in mind, I believe that athletes should be paid a reasonable stipend for their "work." By doing this, some of the under the table corruption may be weeded out. Hell, if you got a research assistantship, in addition to tuition, it comes with a stipend.

All the money to coaches and programs don't even count the money that the "so called nonprofit" NCAA collect daily

It's corruption at it's finest and you are correct

Players take money under the table so in reality this would just even things out and stop what happens at major universities already by making it fair across the board
