The teams on the list below all won 2 or more state title between 1985-2000.  One was the first team in Florida high school football history to ever finish a season with a perfect 15-0 recordWho was it?  Another team on this list was the second to ever do it.  Who was #2?  It is OK to guess!

Bradenton Manatee

Bradenton Southeast

Fort Lauderdale Dillard

Fort Walton Beach

Glades Central

Jacksonville Bolles

Lakeland

Miami Carol City

Miami Northwestern

North Florida Christian

Pensacola Pine Forest

thanks for that

Pahokee lost a bunch of state semis back in the late 80's, including 2 to Avon Park the years they won back-to-back state titles and a 60-0 loss to Wildwood...ouch:blink:  Ah, what could have been for the Blue Devils.

Good job!  Bradenton Southeast, led by Coach Paul Maechtle and Peter Warrick, had a 29-1 record in Warrick's junior and senior seasons, with Warrick scoring 27 touchdowns in the 27 games he played. Southeast’s lone loss, to Riverview in 1994, came with Warrick out of action.

In 1993, Warrick’s junior year, Southeast became the first team in Florida prep history to finish a season with a 15-0 record, en route to the Class 4A state title, an accomplishment that would be matched by Jacksonville Bolles one day later.  Southeast beat Jefferson, Baron Collier and Deerfield Beach on the way to the state finals in Daytona Beach, where they defeated Panama City Bay 20-17.

In 1994, with Warrick at quarterback, Southeast repeated as state champion, rolling up a 14-1 record, finished with a 19-17 state final victory over Ocala Vanguard, led by future NFL quarterback Daunte Culpepper.  Warrick also led Southeast to an undefeated 35-0 basketball season that year, capped with the Class 5A state championship.

Good stuff. I graduated from Southeast in '93.. You could see the seeds being planted.....especially defensively....for what they were going to do the next two years.
