Interesting

So are you saying they don't even have to be Catholic to attend a Catholic school?

No, you do not. Catholic schools offer tuition based on if you are a practicing Catholic and can be verified by a church. There is the Catholic and Non-Catholic rates.  It also usually comes down to the parents and not the students. For instance, I attended St. Petersburg Catholic all 4 years from 2001-2004, even though I was practicing Catholic- my parents were not, so I was charged the full cost tuition.

You would be very surprised how many Non-Catholics are enrolled in Catholic school. Without firm statistics in hand, I would say more students are Baptist than Catholic.

Nike pulled the same "stunt" with miami central.

for someone who desperately wants to be seen as a knowledgable old-timer, you don't seem to know much of anything about this topic.

You are critical of others for speaking of that which they do not know, yet you claim to know the motivations of others without knowing the first thing about them.

I don't need to impress anyone at my age.  I have learned a lot from others on this board and hope I have shared something of use to others and in some way honored our great players and coaches in this state.

I am a desperate old man in that I only have a short time left and must be choosy with whom I associate.  So, I will not be responding to any more of your posts.  There are too many nice people on this board with whom to correspond.

Hmm

What is the motivation to attend a Catholic school if they aren't Catholic though?  I am not familiar with private schools so I wouldn't know but I'm kinda curious

Riddle me this? How did this go from STA-Miami Central matchup to history, uniforms, etc. It's so hard to be on these forums when folks can't stay on topic.

Good point MC.  I think we got off track when the debate started over who is dodging who.  I would suggest it is best for all of us to assume that most coaches aren't dodging each other by choice.  Most coaches are Type A, "bring it on" kinda guys.  There are so many things pulling coaches in different directions today that coaches of the past did not have to worry about, at least not to the same extent.  Unfortunately, the fans today sometimes lose out because of it..

@TheBeastWithin

Please stop attacking the board members and calling things stupid. You have a right to disagree if you don't agree with something. There is a better way to approach this. All I ask is you tone it down some. Not fair when I have half my board coming to me and my moderators when you are being rude to them instead of just showing some respect. All I ask you is to just be nice. It is cool you might be more intuned with what goes on at your alma mater, but at the same time perception is everything these days.

For further reference I expect EVERYONE on this board to follow the rules:
