Jeff Driskell

John brantley

Jeff Driskel of Hagerty High(Class of 2011) in Seminole County is one of them.  John Brantley of Ocala Trinity Catholic, made the ESPN 150, but am targeting guys closer to Orlando, ie guys who played in Orange and Seminole Counties.

Jeff Driskel was the Maxwell Football Club Player of the Year and the Gatorade FL Player of the Year.  He was thought by many to be the best pro-style quarterback in the country in his class.

He had reasonable success at the U of Florida and started in 2012.  He transferred to Louisiana Tech for his final year of eligibility.  There he threw for over 4000 yards and 27 TD's.

Driskel was drafted in the 6th round of the 2016 NFL draft by the 49'ers.  His career in the NFL never took off.

Jeff may have been thought of as pro style. But in truth, in every sense of the word, he was dual threat, at least in high school.

Blake Bortles was so underranked that most schools recruited him as a 2/3-star TE.

Oviedo High School where he went, ran an option attack and ran the ball 80+ percent of the time. Blake did not get the opportunity to showcase his QB skills much at the high school level. I saw him at least 3 or 4 times as a high school QB, and had no idea how to assess him at the position. He was a strong runner, but that is pretty much all that was evident.

The thing that stands out to me the most is the three different helmets. Must be a great booster program
