Treasure Coast Trivia

Knowing we have some guys on the forum who follow this area closely, thought we might have some fun here.  If one were to look at the top 12 running backs to come out of the Treasure Coast over the past 30 years, a case could be made that Okeechobee High has produced more talent than any other Treasure Coast high school?  Who are these three great backs from Okeechobee?   It's nice to give some recognition to the Brahmans, who are having a tough time of late.

1. Parade All-American and Nationwide Insurance Player of the Year as a senior in 1990, rushed for over 1,000 yards during career at West Virginia, played briefly for the Seattle Seahawks, currently an actor whose credits include Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and Law & Order.

2. Standout running back for the Brahmans; played defensive back in the early 1990's at West Virginia; holds share of the Mountaineers record with five pass breakups in a single game; played a season in the Arena Football League with the Orlando Predators.

3. Rushed for 5,091 yards and 56 total touchdowns; All-Area Offensive Player of the Year in 2007 and a two-time all-state selection; switched positions in college and was a four-year starter as a fullback at Florida State; 2013 Orange Bowl MVP; signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent and made the team out of training camp; was on the practice roster with the Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills.

Billy Osceola,  LOL. Seriously I don't know because Hardee rarely plays Okeechobee anymore.  Back in the day Okeechobee had players from the reservation,  always small and fast. Okeechobee's stadium was a pasture with a couple of wood bleachers.  We use to sit on our car hoods or tailgate and watch the game.
