I doubt you would tell our coach to his face he caved in LMAO 

 

He could probably still suit up if he wanted to

I think mandarin does win,  however it is at fletcher and this is their best chance in the past 4 years to make playoffs that's why i say if Fletcher don't blow it but I'm actually thinking that mandarin wins that one which gets us bartram trail in first round which is good with me

 

Whether we get Fletcher or Bartram I'm looking forward to dropping whichever is in our path

Agree.  Have seen both in person.  All of Fletcher's wins are against schools below .500.  They have a quality defense but seem to be offensively challenged against better teams.

Mandarin has played a brutal schedule and are one play and an OT away from being 8-1.  They have been outscoring people of late, but their defense does stop people when they need to.  Just my $.02.

Any score prediction on this game since you have seen both 

 

Also any thoughts on bolles vs Columbia game by any chance?

Columbia will whip Bolles.  This is not the Bolles of old.  Not even close.  And I think their downward spiral began even before Corky retired.

 

As for Mandarin/Fletcher, my kids go to Mandarin but we live just down the street from Fletcher (go figure).  So I have seen both quite a bit.  I was very surprised that Fletcher hung with Columbia.  I was expecting a repeat of the Raines/Fletcher housing last month.  I think Mandarin will win but it should be close.  They will get their 20 to 30 points and hit their share of big plays, like they have done to just about everyone this year (the Lee game is an outlier because they were without their QB and top two backs due to injury).  I'm not sure if Fletcher can, which again, I was shocked they scored 20 on Columbia because I think they may have had negative yards against Lee last week.  Don't think the field makes much of a difference.  Mandarin travels very well and will completely fill that side of the stadium.  

The problem with Fletcher is that every year they schedule all those bad Gateway schools to begin the season and put all their eggs in the Columbia and Lee games.  If this were the old system, Mandarin would be resting guys this week.  But they are playing for a two seed, with an outside chance at a one seed, so they will be all gas.  Really, it is a tough game for either team.  Mandarin playing for seeding and Fletcher playing for their playoff lives.  That last spot really comes down to BT/Fletcher, and the BT/Nease game will be over early.

Columbia by 50. Only one Bolles player starts on Columbia’s team. 

Mandarin is the better team. More talented, bigger, and Ramsey is a dang good coach. I just don’t know if they’re planning on sitting guys or not

      It would weed out the bad teams that are not championship material. The cream would rise to the top. So once the the teams ranked in the 400’s and 500’s were gone after the first round like they should be, it would start to get to the point only good teams are left. The last couple rounds would be the best of the best. One true state champion.    Watering down the classes and letting teams who normally would have no business winning a title advance further than they should is like letting a toddler hold a fake steering wheel and pretend he’s driving. It’s not real. And it doesn’t prepare the kids for real life. It makes them think they are better than they really are.

      Okay, how about that STA vs. Ida Baker matchup in your first round?  Does your analogy extend to South Florida slappies?  My opinion is simply that no one (except CoachGraham, apparently) would be interested in the 1 vs. 512, 2 vs. 511, and 200 other mismatches such a format would produce, regardless of geography.  But I could be wrong.  And now I'm thinking I should have skipped college.
