Really, Osceola never gets enough credit in my eyes. This years team is no where near as strong as last years but I can see them  making a run ba6sed on having a better passing game than the years past and there Defense keeping them in games.

I still think y'all a bad match up for alot of teams tho

It sounds good but highly doubt thats going to happen. TC needs to focus on Riverview who i have winning this game..

You'll probably bring up the last time they played; last time they played Osceola had about 5 to 6 turnovers.....

If TC makes it to the second round, Osceola by 14....

2017 passing stats for Osceola were better, than this years team

Do you even take the time to investigate things before you post?

I'm almost certain they threw the ball a lot more last year so the stats are going to be better. I've been to most games this year and the passing attack is a lot more effective; due to the O-line having experience and a reliable receiving core (even tho it doesn't show up on the stat sheet because they haven't been throwing as much)..

If we are going off stats this years team has a better defense then 2014 & 2015 (Both state runner up teams) based on PPG allowed.

Which is a complete lie, this defense is good but no where near the level 2014 & 2015 were at.

So i do take the time to investigate things on Osceola by going to the games and actually watching them not looking up stats.....

well the stats say the are about even and this years team has more passing yards than last years team.  This year they are averaging 42 per game.  Last year they averaged around 36 per game.  Offensively they are about 35 yards more per game than last year

care to provide a link to where this data can be viewed?

The data I saw showed Osceola averaging about 20 yards a game with its passing attack this season, last season they average about 35 yards a game last season...................is why I asked what your resource was the data you provided?

2017 stats are on maxpreps.

from Maxpreps

Passing-2018

GP          Comp  Attp         Yards       %          TD        Int

Season Totals     10           12           23           231        .522       3            0

Passing -2017

GP          Comp    Attp        Yards         %      TD      Int

Season Totals     11           39          65          441          .600   8         2

Now unless there is more than one Maxpreps site, these stats clearly illustrate that Osceola's passed the ball more last year, and relied very little on its passing attack this year

Thank you for the correct stats.. I’m not big on stats, just giving my view of Osceola based on what I see...

@FL_HS_football looks like you need to take more time to investigate and get correct stats about Osceola my good man.

Yeah the stats provided by the news paper hold far more validity than those provided by someone within the Osceola HS football program, but then again when you choose to use stats from a previous year from the same source you said aren't accurate in the instance of 2018......pretty much points to selective stat picking when it suits the presenter.................come on man...............perhaps you had a prior career in politics, but failed because you just never accomplished the art of spin................so you take those failed talents to a HS sports message board and try to pass it off on the folks there.......................

i told you i would email them to you if you messaged me but you choose to make it public and not private.  I have the stats for Osceola.  It came from a coach not a website.  You wanted a link, that’s the only link I have.  I do have them on my computer

also i never argued about which was better as I don’t care.  I was just providing you the stats. You were wrong just admit it.

Osceola Stats will no longer matter

    • First I want to express my apologies for my absence the last few months. Without going into much detail I have had some personal life struggles I have been dealing with on top of figuring out the direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com in. Things have finally settled out some over the last few weeks although I am not completely out of the woods just yet. Some of the decisions about what direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com have been forming over this time while I went through things. Part of me wondered if it was time to go, but really it is not at all. Thankfully, a loyal supporter near me in Gainesville decided to put their mouth where their money is and did a little investing and today FloridaHSFootball.com launched its first-ever Mobile App. With that said it comes with the sunset of the MVP Membership Subscriptions and thus FloridaHSFootball.com will be 100% free for the first time in a while. This comes as needing to get the clearances with Apple and Google and the current subscription platform we have is not syncing with Apple's system nor with the App itself. Its best we go in this direction to grow fans again and being able to put them facing forward with an app on their phone going forward. Here are the download links for the apps: iOS (Apple): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/floridahsfootball-com/id6477621728 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floridahsfootball.app&hl=en_US&gl=US   For now the forums will not be available directly in the app. At some point I maybe looking at changing the whole forum software that could eventually integrate into the app. It will be a while before this happens so things will go on as they are here.   I also apologize for any of the spam and troll accounts that have managed to find their way around the security protocols in setting up new accounts. It seems every day these things find ways to pass through control systems. I am going to be looking at getting this solved and will keep an eye on things here as we go along.   Please feel free to reach out to me if you all need anything, want to chat or have any suggestions.   -- Josh
    • They can definitely beat Central. My bulls is a toss up but I feel we should have the edge. EJ will be hard to stop though. Glad they not in 2A with us.
    • Blountstown at WS Neal AL Sept 27th. Also the Tate vs. Faith Academy game is no more. Tate will be playing Escambia instead now.
    • I like it if there is only 4 classes
    • I like the match. An entire COUNTY against a small little Catholic school. Toss up.
