Words can’t desceibe how I feel right now in a game that was 28-20 with some dillard driving late in the 4th @DarterBlue2 @ColumbiaHighFan2017class

Thats when reality set in that we are really going toe to toe with the number 2 team in Florida and the number 10 team in the nation. And as tears roll down my face I’m just so proud of this team the strides and growth they made to the point MIAMI CENTRAL fans on the score stream thread was surprised and even said maybe it’s a new 6A contender on the scene!! They were talking about DILLARD!!

As 30 point underdogs we came in and fought head up with one of the nations best where before we have been getting blown out by state ranked competition let alone nation ranked. All in all Dillard has nothing to be ashamed of if anything it showed they they will be a force next year because with more then half the team being underclass they will only get better as long as they stay in house IM SO DAM PROUD OF U PANTHERS WHAT A AWESOME SEASON PAWS UP!!!

This is the best thing short of a win that could have happened for Dillard

They went down swinging against a very talented Miami Central team,  if they can keep making progress I don't see any reason they can't eventually win that region

Dillard had a great season. If they had been in 8A or 5A, I believe they would have made a run at the state title this year.

Great season for the new staff and if everything remains in tact, look for Dillard to make several deep runs and possibly win a title over the next 1 to 5 years.

The talent was always there. It just needed the right staff. Hopefully the kids stay home and play for the Panthers.

I agree bro most def agree

Kudos to Dillard on a good game. Probably should have won.

Thanks a lot bro coming in we were 30 point underdogs at the end of the first qt it was 7-6 Dillard

At the half it was 14-7 Miami central and all dade fans can say is “ohhhh Miami central is coming off a bye week Mia central has always been a second half team scoring 28 unanswered in a heart beat and etc. which has been true.

Late in the third quarter Miami scored to make it 21-7 at that point Dillard could have said well here we go and laid down but to start the 4th Dillard scored to make it 21-14 Miami central.

few moments later Miami central scored to make it 28-14 with 8 min remaining Dillard scored to make it 20-28.

with 6 minutes remaining Dillard made a defensive stop got the ball back and was driving got all the way to central’s 5 or 3 yard line and instead of running it we threw it and Miami central picked it off.

with three minutes remaining MC scored to make it 35-20 at that point Dillard started e driving again but didn’t have the time on their side.

OVERALL Either MC was not as good as their ranking or Dillard has been severely underrated ...I’ll take the UNDERRATED for 600 Alex cuz we saw all year what MC is made of

Look at this state bro MC Beat booker t 41-5 they beat MNW 38-10 and they beat STA 42-27

nobody would even put dillard in the same breath as those teams but yet we went nose to nose with the number 10 team in The nation and had a few chances to win it.

That's good bro

Lol already kno bro Dillard is gonna be a huge force next year only thing that could be said about us is that we didn’t play nobody and etc. but look at western we beat them at home the only team to do so and they just blasted undefeated Atlantic on the road.

seems to me Dillard was much much much better then people were ready to give them credit for

Hell yea aye if u get a chance I want u to give your take on Dillard on their overall season

I don't have much to add.  You already know the "numbers."  Beyond that, I did not see them this year, which is too bad based on what they did.  Very impressive to do what they did with a new coach and a young squad in Broward County.  Would seem the new staff is "selling" the program.  I told you before the season that with that fellow's background, I thought he had the skillset to do it.

Have you told them Texas boyz that Dillard would win stomp their cowboy hats and win a state title if they were there:)

Just don't let anybody steal your guys during the offseason and Dillard will be top 4 in 6A next year! Count on it

I bet Braylen Ingraham might have been helpful last night:)  To think they lost an Alabama commit on D and still held their own.  Who is going to STA from Dillard next season:rolleyes:

As a Miami Central fan and alumni, I get so sick of hearing the excuses, coming off bye week, not trying to show too much, blah, blah, blah! Fact of the matter is they didn't play well and alot has to do with Dillard. Case and point. I don't feel too confident about the rematch with CC next week. Calling a spade a spade.

    • I’ve been to 15 Finals.  This year’s games were the best I’ve ever attended.  For what it’s worth, here are my thoughts.  I sat on the the Press Box/Suites side for every game.   Elevate Everyday Play Elevated play essentials that make space for what matters. Our pieces look as...   > 1A - The Chaminade fans I interacted with were very overconfident.  I sat near one whose stepson was the starting center.  I told him I thought Cardinal Newman would keep the game close until halftime and then Chaminade would run away with it.    He looked at me like I was crazy then proceeded telling me how superior Chaminade was.  After Cardinal Newman scored the first touchdown I didn’t even look at him.  He then proceeded to get up and found a cluster of Chaminade fans to sit with.     Elevate Everyday Play Elevated play essentials that make space for what matters. Our pieces look as...   >   Elevate Everyday Play Elevated play essentials that make space for what matters. Our pieces look as...   > When the game ended many of the Chaminade fans just sat and stared into space.  Not looking at each other.  Not saying anything. 2A - I took enjoyment watching a team from the city of Sarasota where I grew up from the age of 10.  Had seen both teams play this year so I thought I had a good gauge on this game.  I mistakenly thought this would be a closer game.  I was amazed how much Mooney dominated the lines of scrimmage. 3A - The big story this season for Northwestern was the replacement at QB of last year’s starter, Leon Strawder, with a sophomore transfer from Ransom Everglades. The Bulls new QB, Neumann Lawrence, was brought over to Northwestern by Teddy Bridgewater himself (at least that was what I was told).  I saw this new QB play twice for the Bulls and he was phenomenal.  Friday night Raines put a lot of pressure on him so he struggled most of the game. I began keeping my eye on Raines especially during the playoffs. I told some that Raines would not beat Northwestern but you would be surprised how close Raines’ talent level was to the Bulls.  The responses were not positive.  I stayed to watch the Vikings celebration.  I’m really happy for them. 4A - This game did go as I thought.  I did not see Jones play this year but I’m very familiar with the program.  I saw AHP play Archbishop McCarthy in the Regional Final.  Despite making early mistakes and taking McCarthy’s best shot the Patriots prevailed.  That night I saw an AHP that was patient, confident and did not get rattled.   5A - Nothing to say except boring. 6A - The clock struck midnight for a young and dangerous West Broward team.  West Boca Raton was dominant and West Broward looked like they had completely run out of that mojo that got them to the finals. 7A - Vero Beach fans must have outnumbered Lake Mary fans 4 to 1.  Many times during the game I heard different people say it’s going to be a long ride home if we don’t win. During the game I was in a group text that Laz was in.  If you don’t know already Laz is a big Lake Mary fan.  During the game we had to talk him off the ledge when Vero was scoring at will.  A few times Laz texted that the game was over and he was going to turn it off.  He hung in there long enough to see his beloved Rams pull off the play of the year and win their first state title.  Congratulations Laz! More random thoughts: * It was obvious Chaminade and Northwestern came into their games emotionally not ready.  Pretty sure they did not fully respect their opponents. * Would the Bulls have won with Strawder at QB?  IMO, probably.   * At the beginning of the season QB Darryon Jones was on Chaminade’s roster.  Not sure why Darryon transferred out to Venice.  He played very well for Venice.  Would the Lions have beat Cardinal Newman with him at the helm?  IMO, probably. * Please give Aquinas a quality opponent next year. * I see that Mike E left the 7A game early because of a little rain.  Just kidding, I stayed but I was soaked.  Truth be told I briefly considered leaving at about the same time Mike left in the 4th quarter.
    • Is there any possibility that you would be willing to be more specific?
    • Could better coaching decisions have put the game away earlier?
    • What are you talking about? Are you claiming that the game officials made up the penalties?
