I would have thought Lee wins at beginning of the week but I've seen that several Lee players are still focused on last week and i think they blow it tonight

The Edgewater kids have been practicing diligently every morning this week. If they are physically able, and Lee is slacking they will win.

Feeling pretty confident with Columbus taking down South Dade. They do have some history in the playoffs, recently, but that was with another coach at SD. With a healthy Columbus, I'd be surprised to see SD keep within 2 scores. 1:00 game on NFHS network for those who have a subscription.

I like Bloomingdale to hang around with Venice, but Venice wins late.

Armwood takes out Vanguard. Vangaurd has the best player in the game, but Armwood has more athletes across the board.

No prediction on Plant-Lakeland. My "gut instinct" says Lakeland puts it all together, runs only a few of their best offensive plays over and over, and rolls. But, my head reviews recent history and sees Lakeland failing to execute the "little things", getting too complicated and getting away from what they do best, and stalling on offense. While this is the best defense Lakeland has ever had, Plant is really good on offense. One offensive touchdown-all Lakeland got the last two years-likely won't get it done. So, I don't know. I do know I hope to be able to watch the game, but still no announcement on that.

Edgewater advances tonight because Lee is too busy bragging on social media about last week then actually focusing on the game with Edgewater

you look at too much social media.  If I was a Lee player I would talk trash to you also.  That doesn't mean anything for tonight.  I hope Edgewater wins but the fact Lee players talked trash about Columbia this week will have no effect on this game

You not seeing the point there badbirdy

It's not the fact they trash talked Columbia it's the fact they spent so much effort into arguing with the team they played last week they are overlooking a very solid and quality opponent tonight

you are missing the point.  It's Thanksgiving week.  They have lots of time on their hand.  I doubt they are over looking Edgewater.  If I was Lee as much shit as you talk I would be rubbing it in also.

Right he was pretty confident that Lee was going to lose to Columbia and that didn't happen. Now the shoe is on the other foot and he's mad lmao

Wrong again genius

Football season being over means I'm not having to deal with people who don't appreciate what I do instead of getting a attitude with me

Football season being over means I don't have to deal with some of those  assistant coaches who think they are all high and mighty, it's a relief the season is over because I don't have to waste anymore energy where it's not appreciated

Why are you following high schoolers who aren't at your home school?

    • Agree with what you think mostly, except I'd use a 4 year average and only move the top team in each region up and bottom team in each region down based on that average. I think 4 years gives a better overall picture of a program.
    • What this means is we will soon see one of two scenarios play out in the coming years: 1) A subset of students will eventually not be able to attend a "good" school because there is simply no space for them due to there being a scarcity of "good" schools 2) Assuming compulsory attendance remains a thing, we will see longtime elite private high schools nosedive in performance. The schools can not perform magic: unmotivated, unprepared often defiant students will NOT be good students no matter what the school does/doesn't do. And oftentimes these sorts of students do have parents who will do the absolute bare minimum needed to get the kid into a private school through the new rules. Anyone who genuinely believes that the schools with higher test scores automatically do a better job of teaching the kids than schools with lower scores is an imbecile.
    • Here’s a scenario that will cook your noodle. There’s an 11th grader at a D rated public school. Lives in a bad neighborhood with a single mom and a bunch of siblings. Dirt poor, and struggle just to eat and keep the lights on. He can’t get a part time job to help out because he has to watch his little siblings while his mom works.    The school he plays for has poor attendance at the football games, and is always bad. He is a super star for them and tons of new bandwagon fans start to attend the games because they are good and he is the reason. School is making tons of new money.    Season is over. Back to reality for him. School year is over. Summer hits. Some “runner” on behalf of the rich local private school “offers” his mom, him, and all his siblings a way out of poverty. New place to live, food on the table, and an opportunity to get a quality education and maximize exposure for all the top colleges to see. A once in a lifetime opportunity to get his family out of poverty. What say you? Does he say no and continue to barely survive, or does he take the deal?
    • To make it short and sweet. I am against breaking the rules. If there is a rule that seems outdated or unfair then it should be amended/changed/repealed with majority rule
    • I am a huge proponent of innocent until proven guilty, and due process with credible evidence. I support a credible investigation, and not some witch hunt by disgruntled folks both near and far from the program. Let’s hope they can get to the bottom of this quickly
