One of the better kickers in south Florida transferred from Booker T to Chaminade-Madonna.  Kickers don't get much love, but they can make a difference come the playoffs, can't they.  Cannot remember his name, but Chaminade had a great kicker a couple of years ago who kicked the game-winning field goal against Oxbridge..

Chaminade-Madonna has received quite a few transfers this off-season thus far. I have:

OL Jeremiah Mawaii from Boynton Beach
OL Jai'mari Herbert from Stoneman Douglas
DL Allen Haye from Coconut Creek
DB Quadric Bullard from South Broward
DB Tykwon Ownes from South Broward
LB Brandon Trueba from Pompano Beach

Many thanks to Jessica.  My curiosity got the best of me.  Looked up the players above and figured I would share since I already went to the effort-see bold above.  In addition to the above, Chaminade also got the following transfers this year... 

  • WR Herron Eniste transferred from Miami Edison. 
  • WR Bralon Brown transferred from Archbishop McCarthy-Nebraska, Penn St and Pitt offers
  • DE Claude Larkins transferred from Piper-Baylor, Maryland, FIU, FAU, Kent St offers
  • CB Quincy Bullard transferred from South Broward
  • DB Torrie Cox Jr transferred from Miramar
     

I found it interesting that the school's twitter page had the following.  That statement is either a stretch or reflective of how much they lost from last season... and what appears to be a struggle to build talent from within. .     

There's ample opportunity for freshmen to come in and challenge for immediate playing time:

Not a specific transfer but it's a interesting piece I found

 

Goes to show transfers aren't just bad in South Florida

 

It is just covered up in cities like Jacksonville since none of the reporters ever announce this stuff

      Complaining about North Florida slappies losing to South Florida powers is like someone graduating high school complaining that companies are only hiring college graduates and not them. And then a company saying ok to make it fair, we will open division and only hire high school graduates.

      First I want to express my apologies for my absence the last few months. Without going into much detail I have had some personal life struggles I have been dealing with on top of figuring out the direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com in. Things have finally settled out some over the last few weeks although I am not completely out of the woods just yet. Some of the decisions about what direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com have been forming over this time while I went through things. Part of me wondered if it was time to go, but really it is not at all. Thankfully, a loyal supporter near me in Gainesville decided to put their mouth where their money is and did a little investing and today FloridaHSFootball.com launched its first-ever Mobile App. With that said it comes with the sunset of the MVP Membership Subscriptions and thus FloridaHSFootball.com will be 100% free for the first time in a while. This comes as needing to get the clearances with Apple and Google and the current subscription platform we have is not syncing with Apple's system nor with the App itself. Its best we go in this direction to grow fans again and being able to put them facing forward with an app on their phone going forward.       They can definitely beat Central. My bulls is a toss up but I feel we should have the edge. EJ will be hard to stop though. Glad they not in 2A with us.
