Not necessarily.  Just because the region is weak does not mean teams wont schedule up and gain points.  Clearwater has done that the last few years now if they can just win those games they will be a high port scorer in the system.

We have had 40+ point average last 2 years which will be enough to host most if not all teams in that region

You don't know that you play a stronger schedule yet... You really won't know that until the end of the year.  It may look stronger on paper but that is not how it works and you know that.

JD, they did get shafted..  Still does not mean they would have completed that come back.

Lee defense had no answer for us in 4th quarter and Columbia had all the momentum

In terms of toughest districts in the state, 7A District 1 would be a candidate with Crestview, Niceville, Navarre, Lincoln and Chiles.  And if ever there was a region where we could see the#5-#8 seeds advance, this could be it in 7A Region #1

And in 8A District 1 we've got Mandarin, Oakleaf, Bartram Trail and Sandalwood.

If we had less classes and combined 7A/8A or combined 5A-8A into 3 classes, one could make a wicked Region 1.

For the regions below, look at teams in corresponding regions in the adjacent classes, ie in 5A Region 2 we've got North Marion, Vanguard and Jones. One can see where if we combined 5A-8A into 3 classes, we could really bolster these regions and improve them substantially.  We just don't have enough really good teams to make 16 deep, competitive regions in 5A-8A, no matter how we slice it.  We are stretching things too far with 8 classes.  

 

WEAKEST REGION

1st Place - 6A Region 2

This region wins it hands down.  Only 3 teams that made the playoffs last year, and not one that made it past the first round.  When Clearwater, Gaither and Largo are the best in a region, well...need I say more?

2nd Place - 5A Region 4

Outside Northwestern and American Heritage Plantation, it's slim pickens.  Mark your calendars for this region final.

3rd Place -  7A Region 3

Outside Venice, Dwyer, and Manatee, this region is really weak.

The Falcons should go independent and schedule teams like Leto (the other Falcons who can't seem to win), Gulf, Hudson, Osceola etc...

There ya go...have a Pinellas Independent League.  Then they would complain Dunedin is dominating, so they would have to create multiple classes.  Then some would complain about travel from one side of the county to the other, and we would have to have even more classes within the PInellas league.
