Hey Flotech do you know if Vero Beach is playing Columbia This year?

Not unless Vero is willing to travel

Columbia is insistent on getting both their openings at home this year since apparently we already have 5 road games and Columbia tries to keep their schedule at 5/5 minus stuff out of their control (hurricanes)

Now if Vero traveled this year Columbia would return trip next year

Columbia usually gets around 3k attendance a game (estimation) at 7 bucks (average)

Thats at least 21k plus parking and concessions so playing it conservative it's around 25-30k per home game

A trip to Vero Beach would require 2 charter busses, the rates we had going to IMG last year for KOC was around 5-6k but IMG paid that entirely plus some money left over

Rate to Vero Beach (6 hour trip vs 4 hour trip) likely around 7-8k

So for Columbia to break even (by not getting a home game in the deal) Vero Beach would have to pay Columbia anywhere from 32-38k

I doubt Vero Beach would offer half that when they can get someone in central FL for a lot cheaper

Man Vero will y'all don't know Vero like tgat, vero got more money than alotta these private schools in Florida we live in a rich community where rich folks have kids playin on the ball team, all the QBs parents are rich or wealthy, how u think we got Dwyer to come play us four years in a row at home, ask FPC too before they became a district game...., Trust me Vero would pull the money out just to beat y'all at the citrus bowl and brag bout it later and remember Vero Noy much of a traveler besides these past two years tho

Well I guess it's worth a shot, how high you think Vero would be willing to offer a team to travel to them?

or maybe it wasn't.  Naples offered 3500 recently to a school to play.  What they pay others IDK but hard to imagine with attendance today anyone in Florida is offering 10K.

Niceville if I remember correctly has a nearly 8k seat stadium and usually sells it out

If anyone could pay that kind of fee it's them

    • It would weed out the bad teams that are not championship material. The cream would rise to the top. So once the the teams ranked in the 400’s and 500’s were gone after the first round like they should be, it would start to get to the point only good teams are left. The last couple rounds would be the best of the best. One true state champion.    Watering down the classes and letting teams who normally would have no business winning a title advance further than they should is like letting a toddler hold a fake steering wheel and pretend he’s driving. It’s not real. And it doesn’t prepare the kids for real life. It makes them think they are better than they really are.
    • Buy Azithromycin Online is a handy antibiotic you can buy online to treat specific bacterial infections. It’s great for things like respiratory infections (think coughs and sore throats), skin infections, ear infections, and even some sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia. One cool thing about it is that you usually only need to take it for a short time, usually around five days. Just remember, it’s super important to take the full course even if you start feeling better before it’s done. This helps make sure the infection is completely gone and doesn’t come back stronger. Like with any medication, there can be side effects, like upset stomach or diarrhea, so it’s always good to talk to your doctor or pharmacist first, especially if you have any health conditions or are taking other meds. Overall, Azithromycin can be an effective and convenient option for treating bacterial infections when used correctly.
    • Okay, how about that STA vs. Ida Baker matchup in your first round?  Does your analogy extend to South Florida slappies?  My opinion is simply that no one (except CoachGraham, apparently) would be interested in the 1 vs. 512, 2 vs. 511, and 200 other mismatches such a format would produce, regardless of geography.  But I could be wrong.  And now I'm thinking I should have skipped college.
