Which team has a better shot to win state title now that they not in same class anymore?

Now that they don't have to compete against each year in the playoffs which team has best chance to win title? Northwestern? Carol City? Central? All three? Could these Miami rivals do a clean sweep from 4a-6a ?

If they are as strong as in recent years, yes, they could. TCA also has a much better chance this year, too.

Hands down TCA. 5A seemed a bit to much for them, even with their cast of talent.

How was 5A to much for TCA? 

They were 1 game away from state last year and 2 games away from state the year b4 ... That seems pretty good to me for only being in 5a two years.

I think what winallthetime meant is that TCA wasn't quite good enough in 5A to win it all like they would probably be able to do in 3A. We all know how good TCA is. But, if your goal is to win the championship and you have come up short each time, then you are just not as good in 5A as you would be in 3A which is probably understandable given that 5A provides more difficult opposition.

Yes exactly Proseteye. It is not about being X games away from a state championship, it is about playing and winning one. 3A, will provide this for them. 5A competition is to much especially in the later stages of the playoffs, and championship game. As while they do a great job of "harboring local talent", those schools south of I-4 have a much bigger pond to fish from.

Facts... because normally in 3a trinity in like a heavyweight playing a bunch or light weights. So we know they should be state champs this year. 5a is toughest class in the state

I've always felt and said this. JaxTCA is capable of beating any team in the state as long as it's one game. I happen to think the 2019 version could be one of the top 3 JaxTCA teams of all time.  In the later rounds of 5A, after having already played an elite regular season schedule, it gets difficult. 

In 5A, JaxTCA is playing teams that may not be as purely talented as they are but have position depth. In 3A they're going against teams with maybe 7 or 8 linemen total on a roster of 33-37 that has a couple of D-1 prospects.  By the later rounds in 5A, JaxTCA is then playing teams as deep and as talented as they are in consecutive weeks. In 3A, there's only, at most, 2 teams that can stay on the field with them for a half and they wouldn't play either of those teams until the state finals.

I don't have a problem with JaxTCA, I have a problem with them in 3A which means I have a quarrel with the administrators who refuse to let them move up knowing they're completely willing and want to move up.

Just curious:  what would be the downside or the argument against letting any school that wants to move up one or more classifications do so?  I understand a rule that would prohibit any team from moving from a higher classification to a lower one, but is there any (good) reason why a team that wants to play up should not be allowed to do so?  Put your FHSAA hat on and give me your best argument.   Anyone.
