Soooo the fact that this dude for two offers already and hasn't started in his high school career yet, bro will be a senior this year and only threw four tds last year and couldn't throw past 20 yards.....Now I'm not beatin him down, I'm actually praising him for getting TWO offers before he can make his debut start in the spring jamboree this month....

Competition he playing against:

Dwyer(jamboree)

AHD

Venice

Lake Minneola (they can trade blows with any team)

Chaminade

Viera

Offers from:

Indiana

Jacksonville

All he needs is a tall ass receiver to catch everything that he throws and it'll help his numbers this year

Just because they can't beat the big schools doesn't mean they ain't good competition as a matter of fact they probably one of the most decorated team Vero has played in recent years (Oscar Smith/Pahokee multiple state appearances)

Chaminade went to states three years in a row

Nothing against the kid....But Pahokee has had at least 2 QBs (similar) height, with multiple years of starting experience, state championships, and over 2,800 yards passing almost 30 passing tds. That didn't have 1 D1 (nor Power 5) offer. Academically, they were good, plus they were good kids.

This bothers me for the kids from Pahokee. Eveb Glades Centrals QB from last year didn't have a power 5 offer and he's produced on the field.

The Muck ain't getting the love it did when Glades and Pahokee were winning state titles regularly. Back then multiple kids from the area were going D1 and at one time except for maybe St. Thomas, Glades had the most former graduates in the NFL.

Not QBs...Blackmon and Brad Banks the only ones to land on power 5 teams

You have to remember, he is the coaches son. Coach J knows how to sell his product.. Vero has a lot of good receivers, but none of them are over 5'10".

What about transfers? Does Vero typically load up after spring ball?

We have been getting one or two transfers in the last three years. Only because Fort Pierce Central and Fort Pierce Westwood have been having multiple head coaching changes.

Our QBs don't get the attention of colleges like kids from other schools.

This is a 6'4" kid, with 2 years starting experience. Over 3,000 yards and 30 tds...0 power 5 offers. Had to walk on at FAU.

Probably a big part of that is perception and stereotyping others. On another post here, it features a white sprinter 18 years old that ran a wind aided 9.98 hundred meter sprint in a Texas meet. At the same time he did this, in the Jamaica National School Champs, the class 1, 100 was won in a time of 10:19.

Now it is difficult to draw a direct comparison from that as different circumstances yield different times. But I would have to think that at this stage this kid would do well even in Jamaican schoolboy sprinting. It is noticeable that aside from me, no one else commented on this kid in response to Old School Lion's post. Perhaps they don't want to for whatever reason as such a kid is not supposed to be a sprinter. It should be interesting to see what events they guide this kid into in college to say the least.

No one has mentioned what Ryan does OFF the field, in the classroom.  Jankowski  is an exceptional student as well.  He will have no problem qualifying  for any college who recruits him. Obviously, he has been tutored by his father (Coach J) who is known to be one of the finest High School QB coaches in the country.   Like any good QB prospect, Ryan is the first on the practice field, and he is the last one off the practice field....everyday.  He is doing everything he a supposed to do (and much more) to lead his team.  Ryan has paid his dues...and waited his turn.  He will surprise a lot of people this year.

Not questioning that.. Ive seen kids that were great kids, students, and produced on the field for multiple season that didn't receive 1 offer...yet this kid hasn't proven himseld...YET...and has offers...This isn't about the kid, his father, or the program

In the last few years a few but not really crazy, the ones I can remember

David Reese FPC

Jonathan Bryant FPC

Cameron Hicks FPC

Dennis Fisher FPC

James Johnson FPC

Nick Cel JC

Jahari Harvey JC

Definitely some impact players. But nothing ridiculous like some schools in the bigger metro areas and like the other poster pointed out stability st Vero versus the other area schools plays a big role.
