Isn't it to early for this but since we gone start I'll give my take.

3A Trenton

4A Booker T. Washington

5A American Heritage (Plantation), Immokalee and Jackson but this is a long shot though

6A Central or Mainland

7A Dwyer or Aquinas

8A Miramar

I like this so far, but Trenton is 1A....did you mean Trinity Christian for 3A or another team?

In 1A I like Trenton chances to get back to Orlando again this year but there are a few other teams that will have a say. Hamilton county has a tremendous amount of speed this year and there new coach has them going in the right direction, Also Union county will be good, Dixie will be ready again and Mayo will be huge on the line this year.

From the panhandle a team no one is talking about is Vernon, They got the coaching to go deep in the playoffs.

Also throw in Port St. Joe into the mix as well....going to be another great year for 1A football.

iN m opinion its

4A: booker  T unless something huge happens.

5A. I SEE it being jackson i just dont see heritage repeating.

6A. HONESTLY.! i say DILLARD.!! now before ALL of you try to laugh me off this forum i knw central is the defending champions and you guys have every right to believe they will win it all again. but from the talent i have seen on dillard roster with all the transfers coming i can see dillard upseting central with home field advantage NOW.!! as not only as a fan but a realiest i know dillard will have really bring it this year and i believe that they can and that it will be a tough task all i'm saying is dont be suprised of course alot of games have to be played untill we get to that point and anything can happen during that time but all i'm saying is dont write the panthers off.

DHS as much respect as I have for Dillard I honestly dont think they can beat Central in the playoffs....I'd love to see Dillard make a run but I think there are several teams in their region that could give them trouble. As for Jackson I dont know why but they seem to be a trendy pick to make it...however I am sticking with AH for now. 4A-BTW and theyll probably win it all again...7A STA or Dwyer IMO probably will be a state semi-final oh and in 8A Miramar

And you are right thats why 6A is rated the toughest classification of them all. And i cant do anything but respect your pick for riding with central because they have rightfully deserved it all i'm saying is the talent dillard have this year can do some serious damage of course everything have to be proven on the field but just watch....also after losing in the first game last year in the dolphins 7 on 7 tournament they made it all the way to the final game this year. I'm telling you STA dillard is serious this year each year for the past 2 years under this coaching staff dillard has improved each year i expect the same this year.

Let me explain my theory on Jackson and why I'm always riding with them as well as others. You guys know when your at the casino or watching a sporting event and your friends say who you got, or who you betting on well that's how Jackson is. See everybody expects or just wants Jackson to succeed see their the team you wanna bet on but then your 2nd chance guessing yourself. Jackson has so much potential to be great just things don't never fall into place and I'm sure the alumni is screaming by now a state title. I'll give an example and this game is commonly referred to as the Soul Bowl 2 during the 1998 season. Jackson had a chance to win the game and go to states but let the last 2 minutes in change of the game go to waste. Another game was in 2000 against Dillard which they lost 6-0 I believe. Also in 2012 when they played Immokalee. I'll admit Immokalee was a good team, but Jackson had countless opportunities to beat Immokalee and they didn't.

I was at that playoff game at Traz and they could of called a pi on immokalee db as he push one of Jackson's Wrs then pick it off in the end zone... Put Jackson had plenty of chances to win that year....

@Zoe Boy I was at that game as well and Jackson side was so pissed off I mean them referees couldn't have left that stadium quick enough. You talking about a bunch of black folks ready to kick some ass lol.... As I was walking out the stadium all I could hear were people talking saying this and saying that, but like I said they had countless of times to win that game and they didn't which nobody was thinking about that just the last call of them game though.

I remember hearing about that Jackson game in 2012....I understand your logic I think Jackson will be good in 2014 but how good for me is still up in the air although it'll come together in the next few weeks/month....Jackson has been so close some years and just not come through hopefully this yr they can...that alumni/fan base deserves it IMO

Jackson has a new Coach and lost 22 players to transfers . I doubt they even make the playoffs, They are in rebuild mode. The only bright spot is there Qb Desmond Phillips Glad he is a track kid cause he might be running for his life good thing he is only a junior. If Earl Little don't have any connection to the communit and Youth Football Coaches like Antonio Brown it might be not be a good fit for him.

    • Just wait till spring is over and the top RB in the area will take his talent to 1 Indian Ave.
    • This will be an interesting story to follow.  Venice has no proven RB headed in to spring which will be a first for a long time.  They have produced several Dairy Farmers player of the years in that position.  They also will have a massive offensive line with 2 three year starters who return as well as some stud young kids.  They will probably average around 6'4 295 on the line which is huge for Venice standards.  I just wonder if this will change before the start of the season.  I still fell like someone will show up.
    • Are you still talking to me??  Thought I was pretty clear for you not to waste your breath on this subject matter, but somehow you are missing the point.  Teacher unions have limited power in FL because the candidates they overwhelming support keep losing.  If they had won, the teacher union vote had a lot to do with it and would be wielding that power.  Osceola county which isn't a GOP stronghold during the past two national elections had the journalism students for the OHS monthly newsletter (Kowboy Jake) interview the faculty as to their political leanings.  A sample of about 30 teachers that were interviewed were voting as follows:  25 D vs 5 R.  Enough said.
    • You missed the point of my union post. Teacher unions in strong union states have power. Florida unions have zero. They cant strike and the school board can implement a contract without the unions approval. Florida unions are not preventing any raise in Florida. The state has attacked a straw man here.
