5A - Region 1 A Look Ahead

5A-Region 1 has some contenders, but is lacking depth.  7 teams in the region made the playoffs last year, including 5 of the 8 playoffs teams from Region 2 last season.  Records from last season are listed below.  Teams with a double asterisk made the playoffs last season and italicized won district titles.  

Together Districts 3 and 4 feature 9 Jacksonville public schools, and only one finished 2018 with a winning record...Raines.  The region gains Pine Forest from 6A and Raines from 4A, but loses its 2 region finalists from last season, Bolles and Trinity Christian.
