Could there be a chink in the armor at Miami Central?

I realize that this was only 7 on 7 BUT! MC failed to place at the Kirby Smart 7 on 7 Tourney yesterday! And they BARELY beat an Alcovy team in OT, that was BLOWN OUT by Colquitt county, 56-0, in real football last season! Course, Alcovy also placed fourth in the Cam Newton 7 on 7 last week! And with 48 seniors, they are our HOMECOMING game! HIDE da women and children, when they roll into town, NEXT time!!

Miami Central will NEVER, EVER, EVER! Be down enough to get blown out by Colquitt County. I’m laughing as I write this. Badbird says I say dumb shit but good god you actually believe what you’re writing?  You guys are going to get squished!

Miami Central has never been a nasty 7v7 team.    If ya’ll beat BTW then I’ll be impressed.   BTW already handed STA an L in 7v7 recently.

Now on the football field in pads...MC’s style of play is a thing of beauty.   Anyways I’m sure they got called for a PI on every play for being “too rough”.  Refs in Ga throw flags when they see something they aren’t used to unfortunately.

Too bad Colquitt ain’t got the stones to play teams like MC in a real game.

I disagree I would love to see the colquit county of 2014 or 15 go up against Miami central that would be a game and I would actually go with the home team for either.

Lets remember the last time MC went to Ga they lost 35-3 to Grayson.

Colquitt may win but they are scared to travel down to Miami Dade, they will only play Dade teams at home

According to rab boy they are "Scared for their safety"

I wouldn't call Moultrie a Utopia of wealth and prosperity though so I call that excuses

Unless I hear it from colquit mouth it’s just he say she say Point is even in a down year colquit Gave AHP all it can handle. Along with centennial colquit had one of the most dangerous prolific high school offenses the high school level had ever seen a few years ago.

During that time they beat some of the best in the country and would have smoked 88% of the Florida with the team they had. Home or away. Got to remember fans don’t win games but x’s and o’s Do teams like Miami and carol City of the world rely on their pure speed to beat you which is Why they love a lot of fade routs and hitch’s and bombs out of a back backfield.

A team with great coaching and solid would exploit that anyway. Which how centennial beat STA a few years back. What they held them to 3 points.

How can you claim they would have beaten some of FL best, home or away when they never faced any of FL best on the road?

Winning at home and on road are far from the same task

No fans don't win games however when a team like Colquitt plays at home they have a sense of familiarity and confidence

They wouldn't have that simply locked in if they had to drive all the way down to Miami and walk into one of toughest places to play (Traz Powell stadium)

Colquitt won't smoke none the top SFL teams, especially if they had to play in SFL

He said smoked 88% of Florida.  There are 586 teams in Florida that play football.  So he's saying they would smoke #'s  67-586.  Lots of teams would smoke teams not in the top 50 in Florida. Heck lots of teams in Florida smoke teams not in the top 50.

That Central team that lost to Grayson had Joseph Yearby and Dalvin Cook in the backfield, and they couldn't do anything against them. They couldn't run the ball against them and Central didn't have a passing game. That year Central went on to run the table and win a state title, but against  Grayson they looked like a JV team.

Any given year Georgia's top teams can compete and beat the top teams in Florida, but I agree that it's always one sided in that most of those matchups are in Georgia. They rarely travel.

That works both ways

Though according to @ORabidOne FL is completely out-matched and only the schools who cheat (which apparently is everyone to him) can compete with GA which is complete nonsense

    • It's possible that they find their stride by week 5, but at the moment we just don't have the on-paper talent to compete with teams like Miami NW, IMG National, Cocoa, or Bishop Verot. If Venice can find a way to go 7-3 with that schedule I would be happy

    • Just wait till spring is over and the top RB in the area will take his talent to 1 Indian Ave.
    • This will be an interesting story to follow.  Venice has no proven RB headed in to spring which will be a first for a long time.  They have produced several Dairy Farmers player of the years in that position.  They also will have a massive offensive line with 2 three year starters who return as well as some stud young kids.  They will probably average around 6'4 295 on the line which is huge for Venice standards.  I just wonder if this will change before the start of the season.  I still fell like someone will show up.
    • Are you still talking to me??  Thought I was pretty clear for you not to waste your breath on this subject matter, but somehow you are missing the point.  Teacher unions have limited power in FL because the candidates they overwhelming support keep losing.  If they had won, the teacher union vote had a lot to do with it and would be wielding that power.  Osceola county which isn't a GOP stronghold during the past two national elections had the journalism students for the OHS monthly newsletter (Kowboy Jake) interview the faculty as to their political leanings.  A sample of about 30 teachers that were interviewed were voting as follows:  25 D vs 5 R.  Enough said.
