Citizens shouldn't be listed since it's a shared stadium

It's used by buchholz, Gainesville and Eastside

Gene Cox also shared with Lincoln, Leon, Godby, Rickards, Chiles and North Florida Christian

A stadium in Lake City has higher capacity than both and is only home to one school ;)

Point being it's not the home to one true school but instead home to a general area

Takes away home field to games when playing local teams

Like is it really home for either team when buchholz plays Gainesville if both teams use it as a home field

Or when Lincoln plays Leon

It's both their homes so it's basically a neutral site game

...and so is Traz Powell, etc.  Nowhere did I state that each stadium is home to one and only one team.

That is true

As is Gene Cox

I just personally never view shared stadiums as being the same level of home field advantage as single owned stadiums especially when playing against others who also share the stadium as it takes on the feel of a neutral site

Though I guess it's a money and land issue in cities like Gainesville, Tallahassee and Miami

Like in Gainesville for example the parking lot at Citizens Field is very small and hard to manage as it is and they can't expand it and there really isn't much space to go build a couple of football stadiums lol

This was meant to be a FUN exercise, not a comparison of stadiums.    Try and have fun without dissecting everything...I know it's difficult.

Speaking of which was my pick on St Augustine correct? I thought it was but I'm having second thoughts on it

The name looks familiar but I can't know for sure

Just curious, how often are Gainesville and Buchholz playing each other in the playoffs. And if you ever visit any older community school you would know their isn't much room to build in and around the school. Go visit Robert E Lee and see how much parking there is. Go visit Fletcher. Heck go visit the actual campus of Buchholz/Gainesville and realize the reason why they need a neutral site stadium. It isn't hard to figure out. Cities aren't blessed with hundreds of acres of unused space like say Lake City. And heck, if you ever went to Memorial Stadium there was no parking there either.

As for beating BHS and GHS...

Buchholz
2015 Girls 4A Swimming and Diving State Champions
2016 Girls 4A Swimming and Diving State Champions
2017 Girls 4A Swimming and Diving State Champions
2018 Girls 4A Swimming and Diving State Champions
2019 Girls 4A Swimming and Diving State Champions
2013 Girls 7A Basketball State Champions

Gainesville
2015 Girls 3A Swimming and Diving State Champions
2016 Girls 7A Softball State Champions

Columbia
2013 Girls 6A Softball State Champions

Your superior parking facilities have proven too much for them.

That and neither Gainesville or buchholz are going to have enough talent to win against loaded metros

Neither team will beat a team like Lakeland or Miami Central or STA in the finals

Talent in Alachua is too spread out across the schools to support a team capable of knocking a elite metro off and Gainesville as a metro area doesn't pull the same level of talent that large talent pools like Duval, orange, Broward, Dade, ect. Are able to do

Go visit!??

I've been to every single place you listed

What you think I just stand in the woods using wolf calls to check scores all night? i regularly travel to these places where the games happen

Been to Lee and Fletcher before

Been to memorial stadium both for a game and when empty

Been to Gainesville high school at least 10 times because I've been there pretty often when we played them in baseball and softball

Columbiafan, you wish Columbia could come close to being as good as their 1967 class A championship team.

Trivia question...Which one of our posters has this painted on his bedroom wall?

Probably @gatorman-uf since he was trying to use swimming state championships to prop up 2 schools who have been owned by Lake City in football which was the main topic of the whole side debate

On a serious note I actually did like the quiz with the stadiums, we don't really discuss stadiums in FL all that often

I would definitely like to see an expansion on this one since there are many stadiums (especially in panhandle) that just missed the cut

Like Niceville for example who seats about 8k people which I believe is largest single owned stadium in all of FL

Sigh, again over your head.
Your argument is that these schools can never have home field advantage because they share a stadium or that their stadium sucks because the parking is too small. First go to a Columbia Game at 7:15 instead of 5:00 (when you usually get there)and see how the parking is. It sucks.
Yes it sucks at Citizen's Field, go pay the money to park at the VFW and it is fine. And if you have been the school you know the campuses are small and land locked, no room for expansion, no room for a stadium, and even if Buchholz put a stadium you would knock them for no parking. Again, the community is built up right around the school. Columbia has acres surrounding it with nothing.

As for dominating Buchholz and Gainesville
Since 2013, Columbia is 37-65-4 against Gainesville in Baseball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball according to MaxPreps.

Since 2013, Columbia is 15-14 against Buchholz in Baseball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, Softball, and Volleyball according to MaxPreps.
