1994 was an unusual year for the FHSAA state series.  It has been 25 years since a south FL school did not win a state title.  

Ah...this era was the glory days for Polk County, when they had multiple teams challenging for state titles.

They were lucky to get past the 1st round of the playoffs that year.  Just saying

That game will forever be remembered down here.  The pile up on the far side; the discussion, the photo. 

I was a student at Webber at the time.  I had a Saturday morning class and that game was the talk the next day.

After watching the video, Santa Fe was not a bad team. They deserved the win with an inspired second half.
