Coaching Salaries

Nothing new, we have seen a similar article every 2 years or so. I was talking to a teacher/coach who is involved with their union. The district offered a 10% increase in stipends and the union rejected it because they wanted the money to go to teacher salaries and not stipends.  But yes, low coach pay all around. Miami-Dade and Broward being two of the worst surprises me.

as of last summer in Broward County....

Only 16% (6/37) of all coaches have been at their current school for more than 3 seasons.

Only 14% (4/29) of public school coaches have been at their current school for more than 3 seasons.

Over half of all public school coaches have less than 2 seasons at their current school.
