Tbh i think that overall florida isnt the best of the best when it comes to over all football play. 

Watching todays game it the type of offense and plays that are ran is just diff compared to florida our offensive plays look like it was drawn in the sand

Over all the coaching and the level of play is just on another level in other states. 

Which is why a avg team out of state can drag one of oyr top teams. These pro style high school play calling is such a beauty to watch its like in other states while fl is still trying to rely on out athleting their opponents which will work against most schools in florida but out of state we will keep getting exposed.

You mean in terms of coaching or just talent

 

In coaching, FL definitely falls behind but I've stated in the past the reason on other places but I'm not gonna get political on here to explain why I feel the coaching is bad in FL

 

 

In terms of talent FL is definitely on top (without even including IMG)

 

In terms of talent FL is still the top dogs in the country and that comes without having the support or coaching that a state like GA or TX gets, imagine how big the gap would be if FL had the level of support you see in TX

Last year Mississippi had the highest representation per capita of any state on the ESPN 300 list, with 14 players.  For some perspective, south FL (Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties) had 18 players on the list and the population in south FL is 6 million people... double the population of the entire state of Mississippi. 

From a per capita standpoint, Lousiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida are all quite close in terms of talent.

Only game that was a "risk" game was NG vs Armwood.    The rest were mismatches IMO.   I guess you could argue AHP but they aren't the same and Gonzaga only played em BC they have a star QB and most likely their best team ever.

BUT all of of FL had Armwood as a 21 point favorite...It seems that everyone also thought that was a mismatch before the game...

Pinkos doesn't have the comparison rankings for OOS teams so honestly not even sure how he projects these games but it's a algorithm not a prediction

Then by definition with out of state teams, it must be a prediction since his algorithm would not have information for these teams. Personally, I have always felt what he does are predictions cloaked in the language of using an algorithm. Laz, in contrast, does use an algorithm.

DAYUM son, an OBJECTIVE opinion from the Sunshine State! FLAAAWDA teams try to win on out talenting their opponents! ALL you hafta do to defeat THAT, is keep the play in front of you, and minimize big plays! Armwood gave up 26 to North Gwinnett! They got TWO FG'S against Colquitt!

WELL, since he had North Gwinnett as a three score dog against Armwood! He MAY wanna revisit his formula!

Pinkos must not think much of Georgia football! When he has the #7 ranked team in the toughest non transferred up league in America(GHSA 7A) as a three touchdown underdog.

Well, Tennessee was a 25 point favorite over Georgia State this past weekend and Georgia State won.  I seriously doubt that Vegas is going to revisit their formulas based on one random outcome.  That said, when I first posted last week that Joe Pinkos had Armwood favored by 21, I raised the question of how they assign a value (or, to use their words, a "power rating") to an out of state school.  Now that is something that they may want to revisit.  Or, given the relatively small number of out of state games, Joe may simple decide it ain't worth the time and effort -- especially since they're not taking bets or paying out huge house losses on Saturday mornings.

I just always think its a shame when one of FL powerhouses is a huge favorite and should be the clear winner based on talent and size of an opponent, but end up getting beat. Here is also what I heard from the Armwood vs. North Gwinnet game....NG should have won by multiple scores. I heard also that they physically dominated Armwood and wore them down in the second half. I have not seen the film nor will I probably be able to, but I'm just telling you what I heard. How does FL best team get physically dominated and worn down? That's a question everyone should be asking.

Armwood has a long history of fielding a team with exceptional athletes but very little depth.   I'm guessing that if they got "worn down" it was in the trenches, not at the skill positions.

Easy! Because them boys out west & up north actually knows how to ball. && their coaches actually knows how to coach.

Transfers & private vs public aside the coaching down here sucks monkey balls & the offensive play callinf is nothing to be desired. Compared to up north our ofensive play calls look like it was drawn in dirt in the backyard.

I get it i get it SFA MD SJ & Etc recruit from out the state & country blah blah them boys still piss shit & bleed just like every other player. It comes dosn to actual coaching,conditioning && dicisipline. Which florida severly lacks all 3.!! 

The days our OVER!! where we in south florida can just line up cross anyone in the country & win off just pure speed and athletics. Sure we may still be #1 in the country for over football talent. But when it comes to producing teams that actually play high level ball those school outwest take the cake.

Why do you think schools ranked middle of the pack in their own state can play one of floridas best & go toe to toe or dare i say beat them ?? When it comes to ranking our top teams down here year to year we base it off history the year before transfers & what they do to instate opponents when in actuality its easy to be dominant in florida when half your team is transfers and your playing against other undisciplined vanilla coaching florida schools; until you try that against real schools & get exposed.
