Five more wins to get to sixty. Here’s the schedule to get them there:

Merritt Island 

centennial

Port st lucie

@ Treasure Coast

Chaminade Madonna

As you can see it’s not gonna be easy. I would rate them from easiest to hardest as PSL, centennial, Merritt Island, Treasure Coast, and Chaminade....as someone who has seen every game the last 10yrs I unfortunately think they lose to Chaminade and TC..My biggest concern is losing to M.Island which is a decent possibility

Chaminade is the only team. If any of those others pose a threat then Vero is WWWWAAAAAYYYYY down!!!

Jury still out on QB and the defense seems to have a problem stopping the run...as usual...TC and Vero have had close games the last 3yrs all single digits...and missing two weeks for the hurricane is rough for a team that’s trying to get a new QB to gel with new receivers

Treasure Coast blowing out Monsignor Pace got my attention.  Have not seen MP play, but they are supposed to have a lot of talent.

According to MaxPreps, MP is 1-3 and has been blown out several times. That doesn't sound like a lot of talent.

One of our SFL experts on the board said Pace was "loaded" earlier in the season, so I trust their problem is one of execution, not talent.

American Heritage 49-10 loss;

Clewiston 36-0 win;

Naples 38-26 loss, trailed 38-14 after 3 quarters; and

Treasure Coast 37-6 loss.

Losing to American Heritage and Naples...those are not exactly slouches  Miramar is a solid program and lost 31-6 to AHP.

I expected Vero to beat Treasure Coast handily last year, and they had to come from behind to win.  Even Centennial hung in their with Vero until the end.  Just based on those results, I would hope that Vero is taking those games very seriously.  It appears those two programs have made progress.

The Treasure Coast area teams have become very formidable and I'm quite sure coach J is preparing Vero for district play right now. First we have to get by undefeated Merritt Island, then undefeated Treasure Coast, then Centennial who's only loss was to Viera, and then Chaminade and Viera. That's quite a heavy schedule to make a run for 60 undefeated regular season games. But Vero has a very talented defense and a offense that's coming on strong, so I think they may just make it. I also have been watching every Vero game for the last 20 years.

Just my observation, but I think this area, the space coast, and the Orlando are benefiting from an exodus from South Florida currently. Many families are moving north trying to find affordable housing, less congestion, and perceived safer places to live. As this happens, I would expect many teams to move to 7A, 8A classes as the Miami schools seem to dropping down in class.

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember all the Dade county schools to be mostly 8A not that long ago...

If Merritt Island keeps Vero under 30 points, I think history will be made because Vero under coach j always scored 30+ points but three games in a row potentially and Vero don't have that fire power like the other years on offense BUT them Boyz can move the chains tho.......
