Shut up LMAO

I actually dropped Chaminade to low 20s in my poll

I can’t ask a question?  They lost and only fell one spot.  I need to know why because they are a pick em game and I know nothing about them other than they acquire players like the Yankees acquire  free agents

Sure you can

I was giving that response because of that little comment about me doing the rankings even though I have a much different placement in my rankings for Chaminade lol

They have some talent but are not as strong overall as the team last year if it helps

I actually picked Atlantic to beat Chaminade

Or did you pick them because they play Columbia.  I got to figure this out.

3 reasons for my pick

1 Atlantic is a larger school and should have depth advantage

2 Chaminade isn't as strong as team from last year

3 Atlantic may very well be strongest team in PBC and from what I saw of them they looked pretty damn good

I picked them too but have no idea why.

how does Chaminade stay ranked #7 when they lost to #22 this week?  Was somebody hurt?  Is columbiafan doing your rankings?

The reason I didn't drop them that much is because after looking at everything, it was very evident the officials played a significant role in the outcome of the game. I am not 100% sold on Carol City. If they lose to Atlantic that is certainly going to drop them further, but I can't fully justify a full drop after something that was not decided on the field. Carol City is struggling up and down and really I feel Chaminade-Madonna is the better team still.

Interesting.  I'd be interested to hear you elaborate on how the officials played a significant role in the outcome of the game.

Admittedly, I don't have a dog in the fight, but I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy.

Apparently, the video showed Chaminade-Madonna making a critical conversion on 4th down to keep their drive alive to potentially score points and the officials ruled that they didn't have enough. It is controversial and that is why I didn't want to knee jerk on moving them down many spots because of that and being a 1-point game.

Thanks for answering.  I didn’t see the game or hear what happened.  Sounds like  Chaminade wasn’t a lock to win even if they didn’t get hosed on a spot.  They can redeem themself this week.

    • I feel like y'all are always solid so I don't see y'all going no worse than 7-3. Biggest question mark for Cocoa is their O-line since they are only returning 1 and on the defensive side they only return their blue chip edge in their front 7
    • Coach Wiseman, let me just preface this by saying that you were the best HC Sarasota's program has had in the last 20+ years. You brought them from being a perpetual losing program to the doorstep of competing with Venice for a district title and a deep playoff run. SHS will curse the day they fired you now that they are back in a rut. You are a true class act, and nothing will ever convince me otherwise.  Our backfield is certainly sparse right now. We do have Dorian Jones, a rising sophomore runningback whom did considerably well considering his limited playing time last season. Our offense will need an overhaul with the graduation of 3 offensive linemen and almost our entire receiving corps. Our defensive line will be strong with the return of Ke'shawn Vaughn, Elijah Jones, and Asharri Charles. Our linebacking corps graduates virtually everybody but should have at least one bright spot with the return of Ben Zarkawiecz. Our defensive backfield is still a work in progress with the graduation of Lester and Platt. At the moment, we have more question marks than exclamation points. And that's not a good feeling with the kind of competition Venice is going to face.
    • It's possible that they find their stride by week 5, but at the moment we just don't have the on-paper talent to compete with teams like Miami NW, IMG National, Cocoa, or Bishop Verot. If Venice can find a way to go 7-3 with that schedule I would be happy

    • Just wait till spring is over and the top RB in the area will take his talent to 1 Indian Ave.
