If Vero played schedules like STA Carol City, Miami Central, TCA, AHP etc......, Then they wouldn't be able to say they have the longest winning streak in the regular season(56), careful ass scheduling have led them up to this point and I'm sorry but this is the unadulterated truth, I know I remind everyone that Vero beat teams that went to states in the 2000s but it ain't when them Boyz in their prime....... example when Vero beat Dwyer in the spring game in 2015, what the hell did Dwyer accomplish after that, when Vero beat Pahokee, what did they do after that or Oscar Smith etc......in all seriousness, Vero is a protected team and I can guarantee you they beat Chaminade in a couple weeks because scheduling and timing is what kept Vero on this streak so far........

I mostly agree with you. Chaminade is going to be a huge hurdle for this VB team, though.

While I would have agreed with you 100% a couple years ago...longest road trip ever for Vero to start the season against a state ranked team as well as back to back scheduled games against a very good Venice team and American Heritage, Viera as well...while I agree that the streak has been helped by scheduling I believe Vero has come out of its shell the last few years due to changes in playoffs

Scheduling teams AFTER they win a state championship week 1 when they lose all of their talent to graduation isn’t impressive in the slightest.

Not only that, when Vero played Venice we had our head coach suspended. If Vero had played Venice later in the season last year, I guarantee you Vero would not have this massive win streak.

Right now, VB just hope to line up correctly.  Appreciate the help though.

You really have no idea what you are talking about. Vero has an almost impossible task to schedule games.

1. First you have to schedule your 3 district games , no choice, 2nd half of season.

2. Season tickets- Vero is probably the only team in Florida that depends on revenue from it's season ticket holders.

    That  means we have to schedule 6-7 games at our home stadium to satisfy our season ticket holders. To do that, we have to accept any team that will play us at home on whatever date is open. Most big power teams also want to play their games at their home, so that means sometimes we have to pay a team to travel to our stadium. The only reason we are getting a couple of big power teams, is because we have become a big power team since coach Jankowski has come to Vero. What you don't understand is that we have beaten 56 teams of all levels and no one has beaten us in 5 or 6 regular seasons, that's quite an accomplishment  I am ashamed to call you a Vero fan !!!

You know what I would do Floridatech?  I would march into Lenny's office and DEMAND to see his football plans for the rest of this year and beyond. Go ahead....show Lenny what teams a championship team is supposed to schedule to give them a realistic shot at winning it all.  Be sure to pound the desk and all that stuff.....I hear he likes the enthusiasm.

      Okay, how about that STA vs. Ida Baker matchup in your first round?  Does your analogy extend to South Florida slappies?  My opinion is simply that no one (except CoachGraham, apparently) would be interested in the 1 vs. 512, 2 vs. 511, and 200 other mismatches such a format would produce, regardless of geography.  But I could be wrong.  And now I'm thinking I should have skipped college.

      Complaining about North Florida slappies losing to South Florida powers is like someone graduating high school complaining that companies are only hiring college graduates and not them. And then a company saying ok to make it fair, we will open division and only hire high school graduates.

      First I want to express my apologies for my absence the last few months. Without going into much detail I have had some personal life struggles I have been dealing with on top of figuring out the direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com in. Things have finally settled out some over the last few weeks although I am not completely out of the woods just yet. Some of the decisions about what direction to take FloridaHSFootball.com have been forming over this time while I went through things. Part of me wondered if it was time to go, but really it is not at all. Thankfully, a loyal supporter near me in Gainesville decided to put their mouth where their money is and did a little investing and today FloridaHSFootball.com launched its first-ever Mobile App. With that said it comes with the sunset of the MVP Membership Subscriptions and thus FloridaHSFootball.com will be 100% free for the first time in a while. This comes as needing to get the clearances with Apple and Google and the current subscription platform we have is not syncing with Apple's system nor with the App itself. Its best we go in this direction to grow fans again and being able to put them facing forward with an app on their phone going forward. It seems every day these things find ways to pass through control systems.
