Westside Wolverines: Sleeper addition

You want a under the radar performer from up in North Florida so far

 

Look no further then Westside, 5-1 on year, only loss came to Baldwin in a Monday game and they just beat Baker County last night in a game that may have made them the new favorite in their district race in 5a region 1

 

Probably not a state contender but they look good so far for a team that usually struggles and may be heading in right direction as a program

 

If they beat Bishop Kenny, Ed White and Terry Parker they will be district champs and 8-1 heading into regular season finale against Dixie County

Westside is a good story (I think they have had one winning season in the last 15 years, so one more win and they are assured of that). A quick look at their region (even if they are district champs) tells me they are 50/50 to get to round 2 and zero chance to round 3 though. These aren't world beaters. At the same time, it is good to see a team scheduling similar strength teams and still winning.

Yeah they would be out in first 2 rounds but it's definitely a sign that the program is heading in the right direction

They are doing a good job of keeping kids home & building a good culture

When a team has fans that believe in them, some decent talent, a decent coach, and start to believe in themselves, they become a very dangerous team. I've seen it happen a lot of times.

Never count out a team that believes and has guts.

I agree u dont have to b the better team over all jus b the bettee team that night or day
