Teams with Bad Records Who Could Make the Playoffs?

Those playoff games are only good crowd numbers we get and that money helps Columbia with keeping up with much financially stronger programs

 

 

That extra playoff game cost us several grand since we would have gotten much bigger crowd in lake City then Lincoln who didn't even look to bring 1k to a home playoff game

2nd and yes we were

 

In fact we only had Lincoln in Lake City one time out of 5 from 2013-2016 

 

They even cancelled regular season series for 2016 after we played them in Tallahassee twice in 2015

Records can be very misleading. Venice plays the hardest schedule period but if you're not beating the teams the schedule strength is null and void. Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch plays cupcakes schedules. 1A football is necessary and caters to the small towns and schools they represent.

That was 2015

 

Both were district champs

 

Columbia was 9-1 and already beat Lincoln in Tallahassee

I found it.  Trinity Christian is currently the 6th seed in 3A Region 1.   The RPI doesn't get it right either.  Flipping a coin or alternating year to year probably produced the same results.  They all suck.  I vote for Pinkos, Laz or Maxpreps.  Neither would be perfect but I'll take 80% over 50%

Madison really isn't really a 1A school. If they can get kids from another local pool (school), then the FHSAA should add that schools population into the mix.

Madison isn't really creative with their schedule either. With the exception of Columbia, they pick their opponents much like Floyd Mayweather did. 

Pahokee may make the playoffs, but Madison would put a running clock (by halftime) on this years Pahokee team.

The FHSAA should have a rule similar to NCAA bowl requirement. If you are not at least .500, you cannot make the playoffs. A team with a losing record should be watching the playoffs from the stands.
