In my opinion, this is a good day for athletes, especially in a sport like football where careers can be very short indeed!

A good day for college athletes, but the beginning of the end for amateur athletics. 

Start the clock now for the first NCAA investigation into a school booster promising to pay a 5-star recruit big bucks for his "likeness" once he arrives on campus . . . the right campus, of course.

Too bad Boone Pickens died or Oklahoma State would have just become a real contender.  Oregon with Nike might become the next Bama/Clemson

That ended once the NCAA "an enforcement agency" began generating revenue in the billions
