Who Is This FL HS Legend? Buster Rhymes/Northwestern

This old school player was one of two great south FL running backs to play for the Sooners during that era.  He was a prep All-American who also excelled in basketball and track.  He helped lead the Sooners to an Orange Bowl victory over FSU and earned All-American honors as a wide receiver for Oklahoma.  His NFL career was cut short due to off-the-field problems.

Who is he and where did he play in high school?

George Rhymes' biggest claim to fame is his nickname "Buster". Chuck D. of the rap group Public Enemy gave aspiring rapper Trevor Smith the name Busta Rhymes...who later became a huge hip hop star in the 1990s.

Rhymes played for Northwestern about 40 years ago and was a monster back in his day.
