Well it looks like Baker pulls the same stunt on Vernon it pulled on PSJ last yr no rain in days but the field was knee deep in water.

Are you really gonna brag about beating up the little 1A schools everybody knows how Madison County gets around the number of kids in the school.

Yes 1a is middle school level. Blountstown 12-0 they bragging. You could score on them. This Florida Sir. Florida football king. If you ain't on that get lost.

They travel to Blountstown this week so they won't be able to soak the field.  Blountstown better watch the field at night or Brunson might sneak in and turn on the sprinklers all night.  Blountstown should win big but won't matter.  Winner loses to Madison the next week and we get to hear Jesse tell us how great they are.

Even the opposing team's bands don't get a break.  Bakes shows no mercy.

Everyone has to play in the same conditions. When it rains, the losing team isn’t the only one who got wet. 

If this allowed then this is a non issue

Nolebull, you're smarter than this.  If you have a team that is big, but relatively slow compared to your competition, and your opponent is faster and shiftier, a wet muddy field would go a long way towards leveling the playing field (or even tilting the field in favor of the home team).   It's like baseball team field crews over-watering the infield to try to slow down a team that likes to steal a lot. 

Getting the field in shape for a game is one thing.  Artificially creating a potentially hazardous playing field in hopes of giving your team a competitive advantage is borderline cheating.

Nothing borderline about it, it's cheating and the FHSAA should do something about it. Move the game to a location that is acceptable.

Start with these two from the FHSAA Football Manual:

7.1.1 Sportsmanship Requirement. Players, coaches, administrators, spectators, contest officials and all other persons connected directly or indirectly with a member school shall practice and promote the highest standards of sportsmanship and ethics before, during and after any interscholastic event.

10.6.1 Neutrality. It is the responsibility of the host school to ensure that an atmosphere of neutrality is maintained in all Florida High School State Championship Series events. Such events are not “home contests” for the host schools. Special festivities held as part of, or in conjunction with, regular season home contests (i.e., pregame activities designed to rally support for the home team, such as light shows, or giving special recognition to members of the home team) are not permitted during the Florida High School State Championship Series.

 

Or perhaps this catch-all rule from the NFHS rulebook:

SECTION 9 UNFAIR ACTS

ART. 1 . . .A player or nonplayer or person(s) not subject to the rules shall not hinder play by an unfair act which has no specific rule coverage.

Maybe. He let's his emotions and narrow theory of what HS football should be get in the way sometimes. He's obviously very knowledgeable, just very jaded (similar to me the last few years:))

I love it. They come to your house, they have to play under your rules!!! 

You don’t like it, make sure you get the highest RPI in the classification!!!!!
